It can go up to 20,000 rpm if you use the proper P. Even more so when these speeds are involved.
It may be possible to use the die grinder with a cordless power drill, but the effect will be less than if it were used in a die grinder. The reason for this is higher operating rpms.
In this case, I would use steel wire twisted into a spiral, and this as the finisher.

There are many advantages to this over the cheap Chinese food. Although it looses a lot of wires and spreads a lot when using a standard 20,000 RPM die grinder, it remains nearly flat. There is a better knotted version of this than this. As of today I have this on an angle die grinder and the straight version on a straight die grinder. There were safety measures on this one, but my wife had to pull nine wires from my face after it blew up just in front of me. Don't waste your time and energy on Harbor freight ones were safer, but if I had my way, I would have gotten them.
Please take caution! The die grinder shouldn't be used for this. To protect myself from the flying wires, I ended up wearing my leather welding coat. One or two of them were stuck in the arm of the coat, so I had to remove them. Below is a picture of the tool after 20 minutes of use on a manifold made of aluminum.
A Chevy 4wd had cab corners and rocker panels that needed to be replaced, so I used this to prep the metal. It works best with an air tool @ 120 lbs and gets the job done fast. It is one of my favorite tools to use for work on a daily basis. is very easy to remove the paint on a metal surface so a good grounding point can be hidden. This is a very durable and well-made product!.
I am thrilled with the results of your product! The product was easy to use and I just used one brush on 120 feet of top rails and 14 line posts. It looked like I had just used a steel brush and it was about twenty times faster than a hand steel brush.
It is well built and is worth the money. I would certainly buy it again if it were available.
