I am not sure how many torque foot pounds were stated. The impact driver works well with my 300 ft lb 18V Dewalt Impact Driver. This is a really well-made product. A much bigger and stronger adapter than the one from Dewalt. Dewalt only made it through about half of a project. I then replaced it with Milawauke Shock Wave and it was as good as new once I was The Shockwave has been purchased along with another impact driver by me since then.
This is not the case, the bit locks in and can be released by pressing down on the adapter sleeve.
In short, yes. This tool works fine on my 1/2" Milwaukee impact. I have also used it on the detent pin with no problems
The hog ring is compatible with the product. A lot of wobblies unless you seat it to the fullest, in which case there is just a little movement. As far as my project was concerned, it worked great, although there was not a great deal of precision required.

Like I expected, it is of excellent quality. It can however not be used with a 1/2" drive tool that does not have a ball retainer.

As far as I can tell, this is the shortest 1/2 square adapter available. 1/4 inch hex shank bit will sink deep inside the quick release locking collar, so there will be a gap between the bottom of the shank and the edge of the half inch end (there's a small hole that can be seen through the gap).
