There's only one thing that this does, but it does that one thing incredibly It is a little bit pricey, but when you need it you will realize why you paid so much. There are 3 different sizes of this tool that I own.
steamfitter, I was able to observe the electricians using these on the job site, and they were kind enough to let me use it. This is amazing! It is almost impossible to use the Greenlee 84305 (the socket that comes with a box of anchors) in a hollow wall, when you've ever used it, you know it is hard to get the anchors to become firmly set. Then you drill your hole, screw in your anchor (not just loosely place it), set it in the hole, and bang up the anchor a few times with a hammer and it is perfectly square to the hole and flush. I bought the 3/8" because I can get scrap pieces of the rod easily, but I will probably go with the #10 next time. It works great when used on cinder block walls, just make sure to drill a nice clean hole and not blow the rod through. There is no way I can outlast it.
It works very well for setting anchors in block walls and concrete floors, if you have ever had problems setting a secure anchor in a block wall, this tool is a must have for the toolbox!.
If you have a lot to do then this is a must have tool, it will make this job extremely easy and less frustrating this is the first review I have ever chosen for any products i have bought. I think it is well worth the money I spent on it.
