I bought a Rockwell multitool about ten years ago and have had to replace the sanding triangles every time the foam pad has worn out. On the metal frame, I had started gluing leather pads. I despise having to replace things that don't belong in a consumable category. These are similar to epoxy leather pads in terms of durability, but with the added benefit of foam contouring. I've used it for everything from building electric guitars to refinishing wood floors and everything in between, and it's held up admirably. The fact that you get three of them appeals to me greatly.
I saw a lot of complaints about these melting, but I didn't have that problem even though I ran them very hard; perhaps because I didn't apply excessive pressure and let the tool do the work? It's possible that I was aware that focusing on a single point causes friction, which causes things to heat up. This is not the same as using an orbital; instead, use your head, and this is an excellent value for money product.
It works well, but you must be careful not to use too much pressure when sanding because they get hot and melt easily, and the backing comes off the pad easily when you remove the paper.
Dewalt and Fein are two of the tools that he uses. More than that, most likely. That's exactly how I apply them.
The sandpaper pad begins to fall off or fall apart fairly quickly.
This garbage is unsuitable for hook and loop pads. Don't waste your money by watering it down.
