They disintegrate in a short time because they are of poor quality. There were a few minutes where the finger pad lasted, and the edge of the finger pad was melting It was just a light sanding of a corner with 240 grit that I was applying pressure to. Throughout the use of five sanding discs, the leading edge of this triangle pad notched up mostly worn/melted. While the sanding discs do not gum up and melt as badly as the pads, they do seem to get stuck sometimes.
seems that you get a lot of discs and pads (and even a couple of saws) for the money you spend. As I do not know how the discs are supposed to perform, I cannot rate their durability very highly. Because the pads and discs don't stick to the hook and loop system, it's a complete failure. We are dealing with absolute garbage here. If I had the chance, I'd rate it lower than 0.
After FIVE minutes of light sanding on an interrupted basis, the photographs show wear. As soon as the backing on the card tears, it falls off It seems that hook and loop pads on attachments dissolve almost as fast. The backing on the hook and loop remains wet and leaves smears on the project. * Perhaps after 20 - 30 uses, it wouldn't be so bad. I will spend 30 minutes in a non-work setting Despite my attempts (and even though I tried several approaches), I was not able to finish the project. As you take the product out of the box, you see that it looks great, but you don't get much smiles. The item you are purchasing is not a good idea. If I must, I can return it to you, but I wouldn't like to spend project time returning required It appears that this is the only set on Amazon that has the attachments I require.
It has been used half a dozen times since getting the kit a couple weeks ago, and it has been very effective. I was able to use my Chicago Multi tool with ease. To extend the life of the pad, you should let the tool do the work on it. Make sure you are using a low mid setting and use In the event that you press too hard, the pad and sandpaper will be damaged as a result.
It arrived on time, in good condition, and in a timely manner. I was disappointed to find the sanding pads were not what I was expecting when I opened the inner box containing the product. My sanding pads arrived smaller than usual and would not fit the drivers that I already had on hand. In addition, I had ordered a Dewalt sanding pad along with this order and it would not be able to work with the pads sent with the lower priced There were undersized driver pads with the order, but I didn't want to discard those in case I needed to change multiple grits. The triangular pads measured 2 inches each, and everything else that I have is 3 1/2 inches, so it was incompatible with my other equipment. A stack of undersized pads was warped in the package, and I would have to stretch them out to fit.
Parts for the tool die from a Death Star. The reviews I receive are usually positive if not always. It just irritates me so much, I have to get rid of it. In both cases, the tool tips offer no value. There needs to be a redesign of the products. After the power was turned on, the larger piece separated from the screw you put through it within 20 seconds. There was no way to utilize this tip for anything longer than 5 minutes before all the Velcro wore out and the paper vibrated. As a result, I am now sanding small details with the finger pads by hand.
This product seems to be good at first glance, but it does not come up to expectations. During hardwood floor refinishing, I used this tool twice to clean the edges around door frames. I've spent an hour sanding some paper, but the hook-and-loop pad fell apart. The adhesive that held the Velcro pad to the tool base gave out, and the pad is now in two pieces, completely.
The initial response to receiving and using these details sanding pads was positive. I have a larger pad, which is about 1/4" smaller than the sand pad I already have (DeWalt's sand pad). Though the smaller pad may seem good in concept, it isn't very durable. It was a tight fit where I had to sand, so I used the smaller pad and it worked wonderfully for about As the sandpaper slipped off, it came off with it. Therefore I tried another piece of sandpaper, but it lasted no more than 2 minutes. It was missing the little nibs on the top 1/4inch of the pad making the sanding pad and.
