ME and my wife got into a fight! I love it. Here are a few preliminary thoughts before I get into This is a good idea that I will share. Not nearly as sticky as it used to be. My experiences with Magic Lube are based on silicone. Now I'm trying this new product. This product gets a bad reputation for being sticky. I learned that from numerous reviews. Although I agree it has more stickiness than Vaseline, it has not proven to be as stick as the silicone product. I was able to remove the product with first dish soap rubbed into fingers and then rinsed and rinsed With the silicone product, it was really a hassle to get it to work as only WD-40 and then the same procedure I had outlined would work, which left it on everything I had previously touched. It can be used in threads, but some people do not like that. The proper way to protect threads is to use Teflon tape instead of lube. As time goes on, we will be able to tell for certain. It is very difficult to seal properly if the rubber gaskets on the enclosure wear out very quickly. I am amazed at how well this lube works. You get what you pay for, so the price isn't too steep.
It is half the price we pay at our local pool store when we buy this on Amazon. It was necessary to put a new gasket on the pool's booster pump and replace both DE gaskets. I really like this. Fortunately, the tube arrived in a plastic bag and didn't damage in any way. If you tighten it up the tube properly, then it should last for many years.
A little goes a long way, so make sure you tighten it up the tube properly. I am happy with the result.
