Questions & Answers

Does this spray have silicone in it? Do you know if it can be used on Anderson casement window hardware?

I can't get past the 3 In the first FAQ, both 3- and 4-digit PINs are mentioned THE MULTI-PURPOSE ONE Oils such as General Purpose and Motor Oils which do not have a particular purpose There is no silicone in either of these detergent oils. The MSDS for the 3-in-1 contains the following information I am currently using ONE Garage Door Lube dated 6/16/15, which contains polydimethylsiloxane. The silicone spray is therefore something like that.

Can this be used to lubricate bearings on a garage door?

Because the ball bearings are sealed, this shouldn't be an issue.

How has this product performed on sliding glass doors as a lubricant for the rails?

I use it on a number of my bay doors and it works great

It seems like there are two different questions and answers here! I need clarification on that. A lithium battery or a silicon one- What is the difference between a water-based lubricant and a chemical-based lubricant?

Silicone is the main ingredient in this There is no doubt that it is written In addition, it does not foam when sprayed, which is also a good indication that it is a non-toxic product The spray is made of lithium. However, it is possible that the previous formula was based on lithium.

It falls short of the mark This is disappointing for a WD40 product
3/5

I would like to see a more viscous dry spray residual! In the first place, WD40 is an amazing product! It has been a decade since I became a fan! My favorite new spray can is the one with the fold-up handle--I use it all the time Dispenser straws that are able to be filled. I love it! However, the silicone lubricant does not meet the demands for use on a home I recommend the product for rubber seals, automotive applications, or even garage door rubber seals. The product is NOT suitable for hinges or As a result, the silicone lubricant (after the carrier is evaporated) simply does not stay on rollers, guides, and tracks for more than a couple of days. It seems that WD40 Dry Garage Door Lube Spray is not a garage door lubricant so much as it is a generic silicone spray product that is branded I find this very disappointing from a number of perspectives.

just spray your chain, but all the moving parts as well
5/5

This is a great product! Spray the track above the chain where there is all the tension, rather than your chain. In addition to spraying the spring above the door and all of the joints on the door itself, I also sprayed any moving parts. There is no noise from the chain, and it often has a protective barrier so oil is not necessary. Following the application of the oil, my garage door was significantly less noisy. I highly recommend it!.

This is my favorite way to lube everything! There are no complaints about this lube
5/5

I don't lose it even in the heat of the night because the straw is built right into the cup. Additionally, this also works extremely well on garage tracks, rollers, and hinges (that hold the panels When the walker approached the garage door, it sounded like it was rumbling The door to the interior During this time the rumbling has been suppressed and does not rattle as much as it used to. When the garage was open, it took some time for the noise to subside. As a matter of fact, it probably took ten full open/close sessions and overnight soaking (although the water vaporizes It can be used on keyholes, wooden fence hinges, master locks, sliding door tracks, and any other location that requires a good lubricant.

I can't live without this! This stuff is amazing
5/5

I used a whole can on the squeaking garage door and I was kicking myself that I didn't buy two! Most people would not need to do that as long as their garage door squeaks here and there. However, I showedered this stuff into every nook and cranny of my garage door and was stunned at how much came out the next day! This really goes a long way, but I just had the worst door in America, it was beyond bad (20+ years of no service, you can have a hard time wrapping your head around it). However, that's no longer the case! I love it now that it is as quiet as it gets! My computer screamed with joy as I ordered another can so I'd have a spare on hand for any and all future squeaks! This is a great recommendation!.

Our garage doors and office chair are quieter with this product, and it has helped quiet my noisy office chair as well
5/5

My garage doors have been utilizing straight WD40 for decades and I had begun to hear a loud banging noise when the cold weather began to fall. After searching for a product that would possibly last longer than WD, I discovered this product. Spraying all moving parts and then putting the doors up and down about seven times was sufficient I have done this 8 times and I am amazed at the difference. It used to be that applying WD40 would quiet them down, but the current noise level barely registers A door opener is no longer available or it is nearly what it was exactly twenty years ago after the doors were installed. I believe this product is similar to WD, however, with longer lasting and more potent Hopefully it will work on my squeaky office chair now. EDITOR'S NOTE It has been two months since they were installed on garage doors and they are still running In addition, I used it on my old, noisy office chair and I am very pleased with the results. As a rule, I used WD40 and it would only last for about six months plus I had to sit a piece of cardboard under the chair for two or three used WD40 under my chair underside as usual, and in 24 hours, it did not leave any oil stains as it would have with regular WD40. I believe this is because this lubricant has superior adherence to whatever surface it is sprayed on. It gets another thumbs up from me!.

The best for sliding windows and patio doors! There are several sliding doors and windows in our home
5/5

As a matter of natural course, we have never managed to clean and lubricate the tracks. In the end, opening one of the sliding glass doors became too difficult. Over time, the opening for this older door has reduced in size, so the top and bottom tracks are simply too close together, which limits the mobility of the door. It did help to clean the tracks for a while, as well as try different types of dry lubes for a while. From reading online, I knew not to use any oil-based lubricants because they would attract dirt and dust much faster. reading reviews on Amazon for the different brands of silicone lube, I decided there may be a difference between this and the others I used previously. The decision was absolutely the right one for me! In addition to allowing me to place silicone exactly where I want, the applicator also allows me to remove it as needed. A firmly pressed push button at the top can result in a high volume, or a less firmly pressed push button will result in As the sliding patio door had problems, the lubricant seemed to last longer than other types of dry lubricant I had tried in the past. When combined with cleaning the rails, I also tested it on windows with similar tracks, and they have a much smoother sliding action. I recommend it!.

I love it
5/5

There was a lot of noise coming from my garage door I was unsure of what I should try. Because I had no idea, I decided to try this product. Using spray paint, I painted all the wheels, hinges, and chains. As soon as it went up and down a few times, the lube made its way into everything, so my garage door no longer made any noise. The only real noise was made by the motor of the garage door opener itself, which isn't that My whole apartment was sprayed twice and I still have plenty of juice left.

We have for the moment saved our door
5/5

In general, this is what this is about For garage doors, the budget is $40. For the last six months, our unit would get stuck or just sound like it was going to collapse. This was suggested by a friend and made a big difference to the track noise as well as how little it gets stuck recently. My husband oiled both tracks really well and it is now much quieter. This is highly recommended if your door is having issues. Before making a call out for someone to come and take a look, try this first. I like how easy it is to use with the nozzle and that it didn't take much time or product to do.
