I'm not 100% certain. Take a measuring tape and measure the length of the. From the faceplate to the tailstock, the lathe is a work of art. After that, take a measurement of the mandrel for the pen. If the pen mandrel is too small, it will not fit. The Mt 2 must be used as the tail stock. Morse taper (MT) is an abbreviation for Morse taper. I hope this has been of assistance.
Yes.
Sorry, but this isn't going to work.

This was one of the first accessories I bought for my midi lathe, and it's a fantastic product. The spacers are included, and the construction is excellent. You'll find yourself using this for a variety of beginner projects, including pens, razors, duck calls, and other kits that can all be found online; the price was right, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
Before, I had a hard time turning pieces and keeping them turning. Especially when tapering the forends of grips, which can necessitate readjusting the piece. With a few turns of the tailstock adjustment, I can now do all of that while also picking up the slack. I couldn't be more pleased with the finished product.
I bought this instead of a mandrel saver because my old mandrel was wearing out and I had recently purchased a new lathe, so I was already replacing equipment. The product is simple to use and runs smoothly. The tailstock piece is functional. The only reason I didn't give it five stars (and this is a minor quibble) is that the bushings appear to be very light, and I'm concerned about how well they'll hold up. I'm not concerned because I already have my own. I would strongly suggest it.
The only criticism is that it is a little more expensive than some of the competitors' products, but could it be that "you get what you pay for"? br>br>I believe that woodworkers would be interested in purchasing just the Mandrel Saver, saving money by not having to purchase a standard (but well-made) Pen Turning Headstock as well. Mandrel. due to the fact that those components are already sold in so many Pen Kits these days?.
I arrived hunched over. Returned. However, a regular mandrel is much less expensive and does the same job. It's been two years since I got mine. I've made hundreds of pens and they're still going strong, and they're only $12 compared to the price of this one. It is entirely up to you.
I've never owned one of these before, so I don't have a lot of experience with them. Once you've gotten used to the pressure required to keep the mandrel steady while overtightening, it'll serve you well. It is made of strong materials, and the bearings are enclosed to keep them from becoming gritty. I would have preferred it to be about an inch longer to accommodate fat fingers and an over-sized hand. I don't like changing tool rests when I switch jobs, so I use a medium-sized tool rest. That is a matter of personal taste.
This item fails to maintain pressure on the pen blank as it is turned. The wood would constantly get caught in the lathe, forcing me to stop, tighten it down, and then restart. This could be due to circumstances beyond the control of this unit, but it is still a problem. My lathe is a jet, which means it isn't cheap. Simply put, I'm returning this item because it doesn't work well with the rest of my equipment.
You can't tighten the tailstock to a high tension because it will bend, but that's not necessary for a piece of stock weighing a few ounces.
