Product Description

An ideal set of 35mm spigot jaws

This grip provides a strong grip with an approximate gripping force of 1 1/2 inches. The depth of teeth in contracting mode is 1" deep.

If the tail stock is removed, it can be used to rotate glass goblets, candle holders, spinning tops, etc.

The Supernova, Supernova 2, G3, Midi, Titan, and original Nova Chuck all fit

What are the chances of these fitting the Nova ?

Thanks for getting in touch. According to Teknatool, the manufacturer, all Nova jaws fit the G3 chuck, but they recommend not using larger jaws. That means the 35 mm spigot jaws will work just fine.

How much space does expansion and contraction take up?

When it comes to the minimum contracting dimensions, what is it? Although they have identical specs, the 45mm and the 35mm chucks seem to be a slightly different size. ?

If the stock is round, the 35mm would be about 31mm and the 45mm would be about It helps to have trust in that.

Thanks for the post Chuck. I like it a lot. I use this jaw much more than the ordinary 50 mm jaws. It grips the wood well and is very versatile. It works as either a spigot chuck or a recess, but the recess is not that different from the jaws of a 50mm chuck. Only drawback is that you cannot use the worm screw with these jaws, you must use the 50 mm jaws instead.

There should be a way for Nova to make their chucks so that the right jaws could be selected for each spigot or tenon type that could be used.

I have the Nova 4 and I think it's a good product at a good price A jaw chuck is what I use to hold parts while I turn them on the As a result, I am able to hold parts ranging in diameter from 35 mm to 50 mm with these new jaws

This jaw is typical of Teknatool / Supernova's high quality. My Supernova 2 includes all of the jaws and accessories you can buy. I am very pleased with the I have been a happy customer however, I would like to see the American supply chain more reliable and consistent.
