Selected User Reviews For Accusize Industrial Tools Indexable End Mill with 3 Pcs Tpg32 Carbide Inserts, 1-1/2'' Cutting Diameter, 3/4'' Straight Shank, 0046-0913
I've never used a flycutter or an end mill larger than 1/2" before, but this Accusize face mill gives me a whole new range of capabilities - Without the need to grind a flycutter bit, efficiently facing off large areas is possible. The tool's first test cut yielded a mirror-like result. like the end result, which far surpassed my expectations The only negative aspect of the purchase was the inserts that came with it. The inserts are not standard TPG inserts, as they have a flat next to the radiused point and a chamfer on the entire cutting edge! I didn't even try to use them because they seemed like they would cause major issues with the inserts rubbing instead of cutting. Fortunately, other reviews raised concerns about the quality of the included inserts, so I bought this pack of ten inserts along with the face mill. I was pleased to discover that the cutting points of these inserts installed in the face mill were within 0. 01 inch of each other on the back surface. 0002".
I really like how these work and would give them a high rating if the advertising wasn't so confusing. TPG22 inserts are used in the 1 inch mill, not TPG32 as listed. The TPG32 is used in the 1 1/2 inch and 2 inch. So I bought a bunch of extra TPG32 inserts that don't fit this mill, and I don't have the actual inserts I need to finish the job. Could be made a little clearer. br>br>I like the way it works, so that's something.
For cutting stainless steel, I liked this a lot. Its carbide inserts allow it to withstand the heat. When cutting with the sides of the inserts, I didn't like how it behaved. There is a lot of noise. It has a good finish and is good for low-depth passes. One carbide insert, on the other hand, has already chipped.
There were three non-alcoholic beverages included in the package. a 5/32" hex key, and coated carbide inserts The shank has a weldon flat on it, and it fits perfectly in a CNC tool holder. At rpms above 12,000, the cuts are extremely smooth. This is what I use to skim and square aluminum and steel all day. I'm not sure how long the original carbides will last because I've only had it for a month. Although the shipping costs are a little high, the item is coming from Canada.
The TPG insert seats cost approximately. 003 out. This means it will only cut with one insert, and I will be unable to return it because I have already mounted my TTS adapter on the shank. I was, however, able to re-enter the room. I'm currently in the process of machining the set and raising the insert. 0005 out.
The finish on the surface is fantastic!.
The result is a very rough surface. Only suitable for coarse cuts.
The tool holder is of good quality, with only minor wear and tear. However, the inserts were chipped, leaving only two cutting edges instead of three. If it weren't for that, I'd give it five stars.
