That is correct, the pressure it says is the pressure at which it relieves.

What are the pros and cons of using this valve for a ?

Using this valve with CO2 would be fine, I would think. In this case, the gas is not corrosive and the freezing takes place after the portion for the valve passes by. The valve will close after the excess pressure is released, but I am not sure if the freezing prevents that.

It leaks, but works fine for what I am trying to do

have not tested the limit of the valve, so cannot confirm that, but more importantly, there is a slow leak when the valve is By pulling on the ring and releasing the pressure, the leak is not stopped. There is a Threadlocker pre-release It's nice to have already applied, so no preparation is required. It only takes a few screws to attach it.

It appears to work, and it was In the past, I haven't tried to overpressurize the tank to fire it off early, but it doesn't work when we test to 150 psi (tested)
