That is not the case. The pressure switch component does not require electrical connections. It is a safety feature typically built into compressor setups. The function of this part is to bleed off air in the event of a pressure switch failure.

There is nothing to worry about it is a pressure relief valve, which will blow when the pressure reaches 150 pounds per square inch.
We have one that's larger than the one you have. There is no right or wrong answer to that question. As for the 120, I upgraded to 150 and it works just fine. I've never had any problems with it.

I am pleased with the Pop Off valve. It arrived quickly and appears to be in good condition. I assume it is to seal or lock the threads of this tool. It has a red coating on the There was a leak, so I taped it up with about 5 layers of teflon tape, You've got nothing to worry about. The compressor won't go above 150, so I have no way of knowing if the line will pop off at 150. The next time I buy, I will.
I like it that this 1/4" MNPT 150psi brass safety release pressure valve comes with a safety release mechanism. There are some packaging issues, as the valve comes in a fairly large bag. Milton comes in much better packaging for their parts. Whenever I reach 125psi, I'll update you whether or not the valve pops.
