It worked perfectly on my Sears Craftsmen 5 HP 20 Gal air compressor model 919
5/5

At the time of purchase, it wasn't clear if this kit would work on my Sears Craftsmen 5 HP 20 Gal air compressor. Purchasing a new compressor to replace this one that can provide six gallons of compressed air. The cost of four CFM at 90 PSI is between $800 and $1000 The overall height of the rack is over 60", so it will cost $1000. The compressor is quite loud, yet if you don't mind the noise, then this is a good compressor. We ordered the parts as scheduled and received them along with the Due to the fact that there are many compressor manufacturers who use the same design, the pictures do not reflect Sears compressor It was only slightly different because removing the connecting rod on the motor shaft was necessary to insert the new sleeve, which required about five It was noted in the instructions that the replacement compression ring and gasket should be assembled as described. In order for the compressor to reach the 120 PSI cutoff pressure, it now takes 10 minutes. Place the off point there instead It will take about thirty In spite of the instructions indicating that it was a 10-inch job, removing the plastic shroud at the front end of the engine was the most challenging part of repair To remove the cover, you will need a panhead screw that measures 24 x 9/16". After applying the new parts and replacing the screws, I discovered the screws have 1/8" Torx heads, which took more time to identify than the replacement of the screws. This air compressor should now have a service life of at least 10 more years.

It is now as good as new, even though my compressor was 27 years old
5/5

I have a 919 model, even so. The 165200 was not listed as a match for this kit, but it worked and was perfect for it. My old compressor had served me well for 27 years, and I was ready to replace it, When I was a kid, my old craftsman was super loud, and it was slow to reach As a result, now it is as quiet as when it was new and fills up the 20 gallon tank I was able to repair the problem easily. As I disassembled, cleaned, and reassemblied the unit, I spent more time trying to locate the dropped screw under the stairs than I did actually cleaning and reassembly it. My new compressor cost several hundred dollars less than the old one. Then I should be good for 27 more.

The parts are better than OEMs and look better
5/5

An ancient Devilbiss compressor that I had just a few years ago suddenly stopped generating After I read the article, I thought I'd have to add my trusty old friend to a scrap yard. But this new story--Amazon and Son--has changed my mind. It is still possible to buy service parts for guns. It's better to buy a full set of fine dining dining table and chairs rather than a simple minimal set of dining room chairs. Almost all of the items in this kit are required and are of As you can see, the piston sleeve I replaced was much superior to the old one I removed. While reading one negative review, it briefly frightened me, but I am pretty confident the individual got the assembly wrong because it wasn't very difficult. Forming the new baffle for the piston must be done according to the directions. There needs to be a lot of warmth in here. Set it out in the sun for an hour or so before you install it if it's summer time. Fold the sock slowly and do not get in a hurry. There are a few steps involved, but once you get it in position it will work fine.

I bet my old compressor will last me another 30 years.

This is a simple fix for a compressor that won't build The compressor seems to be constructed to last
5/5

It was passed down to me from my Dad when he found out that my uncle was throwing away a nice Craftsman 1 HP compressor. The capacity is 5 gallons. Although the compressor didn't create pressure, it still didn't work. That sounds good to me, so I'll work on Upon looking at it I found that it was a 5 instead of a 4. It has a 5 horsepower motor. Unfortunately, it didn't build any pressure past 20 psi with a 27 gallon compressor. To make a long story short, I had the head off the piston and found that the piston compression ring had been torn, so I removed those (4) bolts and (3) screws. It would have been cheaper to just order the ring, but for the price, it was quick maintenance to replace the whole thing. As a result, the problem was fixed This is an extremely easy to install product. I will only recommend that you keep in mind that the piston sleeve on my compressor originally had enough width so that the piston could slide through it. A new sleeve will have a rolled bottom, so you will have to remove the piston from the shaft and slide it through the new sleeve, then replace it It didn't take much time at all to install the bolt, less than 30 seconds total.

It took me 20 minutes to fix my Craftsman pump that wasn't creating This is Craftsman model 919 33gal 150PSI air compressor
4/5

Is it possible that 167342 would not build pressure and that the grey nylon/rubber could not build pressure after taking apart the piston? A small chip had been taken out of the seal. In addition to replacement of this part, the kit also included some other maintenance parts to get my compressor up and running again. It was my hope that this kit would reduce the noise of my noisy air compressor, but there was no However, it's a great package for those who have trouble building pressure with their compressor. You don't have to be afraid to take it apart and have a look, it's a very.

A multitude of compressors have been fixed with this
4/5

The one I had was a 5 h craftsman. We are talking about 21 gallons here. I am 919-919 There is a single cylinder in the 165250. There was a lip on the bottom of the new sleeve, making it hard for the piston to slide inside. The flywheel and con rod had to be removed, and then the sleeve slid over the piston after the flywheel was removed. Inserting the vinyl ring into the sleeve is much easier than adding the vinyl ring to the piston. Now the compressor works well again. It is quieter and more powerful. Be sure that it has a good filter on the intake.

The parts are of great quality at a good price
5/5

Compared to the original, the replacement parts were of higher quality. I was able to replace it relatively This compression ring is of good quality, but I had to bend and roll it upward to slide it into cylinder sleeves (not a bad thing). In the event that the need arose, I would buy it again with no problem.

This kit includes everything you need to rebuild your compressor
5/5

As long as they are not constantly exposed to dust/dirt, these oilless compressors work great. The compressors come with air filters, but they are almost completely ineffective. The foam is only a piece of coarse foam that lets dust past, leading to premature wear of By using this kit, you can easily replace all the working parts in the compressor so that you can get it working like new again. When your oilless compressor still runs but doesn't build pressure or is slow to build pressure, it's likely that you need this part. A few hand tools are all you need to replace it. Be sure to follow the directions carefully, because the piston is likely to be damaged.
