Dear Sam Hello. My experience as a mechanic spans 40 years, and these discs are the best for removing paint, old gasket material, and grime. A speed air die-cut I can grind. A 25,000 R rating is assigned to these. Hence, if you are working with aluminum, be careful, they are very aggressive and can gouge the sheet To hold the discs, you will need a 1/4" mandrel, which is what Roloc describes. The mandrel is twisted onto the sphere and automatically locks into place. In order to make decks (engine blocks) and cylinder heads, I use 3" discs. Since you were silent about what you were going to use them for, I hope this helps.
In each box you will find 25 discs. There is a "25" in the lower left corner of the box to indicate the value. There are 50 millimeters of diameter in the number 50, obscured by the disc in the picture Two inches is equal to fifty. Approximately 8mm thick. If the merchant stated the quantity in the item description, it would be preferable. What I expected to find inside the box were 25 CDs.
In order to remove paint from the interior of a 1951 Willys truck, I got a box of these 3m Roloc 2" disks This was a very good job and they stripped everything down to bare metal - The old ones last for quite a long time before they need to be replaced but they are still useful and I have quite a bit left for other hard-to-reach places as well -- You may need to purchase larger disks if you are going to cover a large area
The fact that they have been able to clean everything I have used them on amazes me. It is dangerous to go up against them. Wishing you all the best with this.

In return for all the help he gave me, I thought that was the least I could do! Since what he had been using was an air operated power tool, I'm not sure if these would apply to everyone, but these are identical replacements for what he had been using before. Unlike Harbor Freight, I was able to find a 25ct box instead of packages of six. . . I was extremely pleased & recommend it highly The grinding wheels and paint I had used from my brother in law's stock were replaced, and my brother in law was very happy. (A good deed deserves another.
There's something scotch-like about these little pieces When used with a good die grinder (I'm using a Makita), brite pads can cut through rust, oil, and paint on sheet metal easily. For the Roloc bits, changing the pads is quick and easy To peel up and turn them, you need to turn your hand with your palm. They don't last for too long, During my research for a transmission mount/brace, I went through three. For me, they are easier to use in tight spots than a grinder and wire wheel for parts (outside the car). In addition, I believe that it was a bit faster than a wire wheel at removing paint. The paint can be stripped easily once it is removed, leaving a nice, easy-to-prepare This paint is perfect for repainting/restoring rusty and ugly sheet metal on automobile Several people have told me that if they are left in one place too long, the heat will deform the sheet metal. It has not happened to me that way As long as I have some, I'll keep some on hand. It's awesome having them around.
No matter if they are knock-offs or the real thing, I don't know. Compared to 3M pads, they appear to last longer, and they are branded correctly, but they look real and appear to be real, but I have bought 3M pads before. During the restoration of my 1970 Camaro, I used two boxes of these. Their longevity is a concern, as they didn't do their job very well. The rate at which I was reading through them was high.
Over the past year, I have purchased off-line This is a brand of disc that I ordered at a local supply store. Their prices were higher than those of the off-price shops I usually buy a brand in this category, however these last as long as my previous one so I am saving This is a great product and it shipped quickly.
Even though I somehow missed the fact that these were Scotch Brite discs and not sandpaper discs, I will keep them because they serve me well. In my testing, I worked one of them hard just to see if it would hold up over time, and it did. The only drawback is that they are pretty expensive for home use but if they last like this first one did, they will compensate for the cost.
You can certainly find cheaper versions of these, but if you want to be sure when you use something that will spin up consistently, you should stick with the more expensive refurbished versions. 25,000 RPM? I didn't know that! Yes, so because I'm sure nothing will come flying apart if I use it regularly, I'm not worried about paying a little bit more.
It arrived on time. This product is good at what it is described to be good at. Throughout his 40 years of marriage, my husband has used the product. I only intend to use 3 metres. A brand that stands the test of time is the only one. I bought the 2 other types of disks as well. Each of the three is present.
You are dealing with the real thing, When you're clumsy, you can use your hands! It is more difficult to use the cheap ones because they break in the arbor, and you'll spend more time digging out the plastic nip than using the tool.
