There are 35 disks in this set, including 2 inch Roloc type sanding discs with Zirconia Oxide as an abrasive and 5 varieties of 2" Roloc nylon mesh abrasive discs for surface preparation/stripping. Zirconium Oxide is a very tough abrasive, harder and more durable than Aluminum Oxide. It is well bonded to the discs, so I can use them on just about any surface. Metal not only gets stripped of paint, but also gets prepped with Mesh wheels. The locks use a quick change rubber mandrel that is supplied with a Roloc type system. The two mandrel shafts are very useful since it allows me to choose whether to use a standard 1/4 inch hex drive or a round 1/4 inch mandrel drive. It would be better to use a thread sealant such as Lock Tite type when I assemble the mandrel if I were only going to choose one. These are a great value with five of each 60, 80, and 100 A coarse sanding disc with 120 grit for 2" Roloc wheels. It is stated that these 2" Strip It discs can turn at a maximum RPM of 18,000. When I use a die grinder, drill/driver or other power tool, these tools perform really well for me to grind surface prep coarsely. With Roloc, I've found that these last a long time and can be easily changed out.

With this Roloc Sanding Discs Set, you can use your Milwaukee machine to polish and sand every surface in the garage. I use these for removing surface rust prior to painting and they do a great job cleaning up surface rust. They also have stripping discs and polish discs, which cover all of my metal-surfacing I like these more than the expensive Scotchbrite and 3M discs because they are less expensive and just as effective. The Scotchbrite and 3M discs do provide longer life but you have to pay a lot more for a little bit There is no noticeable difference in my use in terms of longevity. It is just too expensive for me to buy scotchbrite or 3M dics for my purposes. There is no better choice than these when it comes to quality and price than Scotchbrite and 3M discs. I like the fact that it has good performance and can be purchased at a price that won't break my bank account. In my opinion, these work great for hobby use, and I recommend them because they don't hurt my wallet like Scotchbrite and 3M.

As soon as I realized that they were designed for a Dremel, I switched over to my power drill, and they worked fine. It is a little hard to guide the drill on finer objects, but I am getting better at Now that using these is really making me long for a Dremel again, perhaps it will be time for a purchase soon.

They have been used with both a rotary tool and a drill so far. Depending on the job and how much control I desire, I may need to gain more control. I use the lower speed rotary tool if I need more control. As a rule, I use my drill if I don't care much about control, or if there is a lot of ground to cover. It's no problem using these discs for removing paint from doors or getting rid of hard water stains in granite sinks since they hold up very well in tough environments. I really like these because they are versatile and they work well!.
