these would be a good substitute, since they are less costly than 3M. In the beginning, I did not have a good impression of The metal I was using it on had been treated with Ospho, which was why I found it so harsh. The re-orders will be placed when I run out of these as I had used them on old body filler as well as layers of paint and surface rust. This product meets my needs perfectly.

This fine grit should be used just before wool polishing wheels to obtain a chrome like shine

These work well, but be careful around the edges of the cleaning items, as they will wear out quickly if you hit them with sharp edges.
