Everything is in good working order, and the price is reasonable. The only problem is that I'm missing a pair!.
Not exactly what I had in mind when I said "easy" and "handy. " For some reason, I mistook them for all being 3/8 drive heads in various colors. I can, however, use them.
I've had these socket organizers for a few months and have had no problems with them; they each come with a few extra socket mounts that can be slid off to arrange them by size on each bar if desired. I simply bring the item that requires a socket over to the brackets for quick sizing whenever possible. It's a lot more convenient than going through my toolbox. Other organizers are more expensive and do not appear to provide any additional benefits. The installation is simple, requiring only one screw on each end, which is easily concealed by the sliding socket mounts.
I bought two of these and they are excellent. I kept one set in my truck's toolbox and the other in my husband's. But I'll have to buy more because we have a lot more. These socket organizers are fantastic, and they have undoubtedly contributed to the cleaning of the socket drawer. They do not take up a lot of room. Individual socket holders are made of plastic, but they hold the socket in place securely. I will buy them again and recommend them to anyone who needs to declutter their space.
If you need more clips and have harbor freight cheap rails (the $1 ones), you can simply transfer them over and they will work, though they will be a little snug. It's great not having to pick up the socket rail and adjust it every time; it saves so much time.
I'm not a snob when it comes to equipment. I used to have Harbor Freight metal socket rails, which I disliked because the sockets easily slipped off the ends. I wanted to upgrade to some nicer plastic ones, so I decided to try these. br>br>Unfortunately, the small 1/4" and mid-size 1/4" and mid-size 1/4" and mid-size 1/4" and mid-size 1/4" and mid-size 1/4" and Clips with a diameter of 3/8" are quite flimsy. Several have already been cracked or broken. In fact, when I first put the sockets on these, I broke one. They do come with spares, but it's not much fun chasing down a socket that's run away because its clip broke off the rail. You'll also run out of spares at some point. br>br>Some of the clips aren't very good at holding on to the sockets. Which ones hold up and which ones don't is a gamble. br>br>Overall, these are fairly inexpensive, both in terms of price and in terms of quality. What you pay for is exactly what you get.
These organizers and sockets are almost always in a toolbox. And only when I have a weekend project in the driveway does it come out. The weight of shallow sockets breaking the clips while taking it out of the toolbox, regardless of size (1/2, 3/8, or 1/4), is easy to break. They are broken even more frequently by the Deep socket. When picking up the pvc bar with one hand, it bends, which contributes to the clips breaking.
These appeal to me. I was able to get some of the tools out of the toolbox. It keeps everything in order. I had a few cheap metal ones that seemed to fall apart a long time ago, so I never bought any more. I saw these and decided to try them. So far, they've held up and performed better than the all-metal models I've tried. Sizes, specifically ratchet sizes, can also be seen more easily. Grad it and get out of there. I would buy it again if I needed it again. I've only been doing these for about three months, but they've been great so far.
