Questions & Answers

In the 55-bin version, can the seperators be moved?

You won't be able to do that. This version, on the other hand, met my requirements perfectly.

Do things get shuffled around when you move it?

Nothing ever gets mixed up with the contents of the other compartments. Mine gets tossed around in a big toolbox, but everything always turns out fine. The lid snaps shut against the dividers completely. Simply ensure that the latch is fully closed, and you're good to go.

What are the largest and smallest compartments' dimensions?

2x2. 8 cmbr>8 cmbr>8 cmbr>8 cmbr>8 cmbr> 4x4. 7 cm

Are there any metal pins in the hinges?

Metal pins are not present in the storage case. I've only had it for six months, but it's done a great job of organizing my nuts, bolts, and screws.

This is the deal! This is being written by someone who has used almost every part organizer known to man
5/5

Dewalt, Stanley, Husky, Milwaukee, and other similar organizing bins are all similar to the Plano tackle box style. br>br>It goes without saying that a 6 3/4" screw takes up less space than a 10 2" screw. Screw length is 5" It's necessary to have some smaller and larger dividers in order to achieve the highest density possible in a given space. Some companies do this by utilizing removable inserts. I, on the other hand, am all too familiar with how that works. When you go to remove a part, it comes with the insert, and everything becomes mixed up. Alternatively, you can glue it shut, but this will make it look sloppy and haphazard. This Stalwart can make provisions for rounded bottom edges by fixing the organizing slots, which makes fishing a small part out much easier. br>br>While nothing is perfect, this comes close at a price that's hard to beat if you need a large quantity. The poly top is solid. br>br> The locking mechanism is strong and reliable. You can easily remove the sticker with a little goo gone and a blue scotch pad, and the case will not be scratched. br>br>While it's difficult to find anything negative to say about this unit, there are a few things I'd like to see: 1. Bins that interlock or a barricade that 2. Some sort of multi-purpose device. Plano tackle boxes come with a bin holder. br>br>Also, if you have particularly large meaty fingers, this might not be the best option. br>br>However, switching to these allowed me to get rid of half of my DeWalt screw, nut, and bolt organizers. There will be less clutter, which will result in fewer headaches. Again, the only thing I gave up was the interlocking bins, but when you can fit two in a single bin, it's not a big deal. Because you have three times as many bins in these, interlocking is less of a necessity.

It gets the job done, but it could be a little better
3/5

This storage case houses antique Czechoslovak beads, which I use to repair Czech glass Christmas ornaments. br>The first thing you notice is that it is extremely dark inside! I'd like the case to be clear, white, or gray in color. br>Each compartment has two curved bottom corners that make it easy to slide objects out. This is a nice touch. br>The smallest compartment is approximately 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches in size, while the largest is approximately 3 1/4 x 1 3/4 inches in size.

Make use of a magnet
4/5

I'm using this case to organize my collection of random screws, nuts, bolts, and other miscellaneous items; it works well for that purpose and has a lot of cells, allowing you to sort your items into dozens of different categories. As others have suggested, a larger but fewer cell version of this case might be useful. br>br>Also, getting tiny little sharp screws out of some of the smaller cells can be frustrating. MAGNETS are the answer. If you use a household magnet to grab metal fasteners, getting what you need is simple. Because it's the most obvious solution to the case's limitations, the manufacturer should include a small magnet in the package when it's sold.

Sturdy
5/5

Overall, I can't complain, especially considering the low price and the large number of compartments available in one convenient location. Mine is for small plastic parts that I use when kitbashing. I'm thinking about getting another one just for small electrical components like transformers and motors that have been removed from old electronics. br>br>Aspects I enjoy:
- The rounded bottom edges make it simple to remove items from inside the slots.
- br>br>Possible Improvements: The lid feels solid and closes more solidly than other sorters I've used. br>br>
- I was surprised to discover that the black color makes it difficult to see small parts, but this isn't a major issue in a well-lit workshop. Although I prefer black for aesthetic reasons, white or clear would make it easier to spot small parts.
- The compartments are a good size for small and medium-sized items, but the height makes getting into some of the smaller compartments with one or two fingers difficult. I have workshop-specific tweezers, so this isn't an issue for me. For me, this is an issue.

It's sturdy, but it's only got so much
3/5

This is a good place to keep screws, nuts, and other hardware that you don't use often but need. The design is appealing to me. It's built to last. Because the hasps are plastic, they may break if used frequently, but an alternative, such as a zip/twist tie or something to cinch the two together, could be used to keep them closed. If you need to modify it, the base or tray that holds whatever is heavy enough that you could remove some or half of the partitions with a rotary tool or something similar to make larger compartments. The bottoms of each compartment, however, are concave. It would have a wavy bottom if all of the partitions were removed. It almost looks like a heavy-duty silverware tray. If I put objects that protrude from the compartments on the outside perimeter while closing the lid, I could see the lid chipping or breaking. Each cutout section starts out small and gets smaller as it progresses. BUT, because it's sturdy enough, I'm going to cut some of the dividers out, and it doesn't appear that this will cause things to mix up. It's a great product for the price and build quality, and I'd recommend it.

If you're allergic to harsh chemicals, don't buy
5/5

On the plastic wrap it's sealed in, there's a literal sticker that says something about the product causing reproductive harm and harm to reproductive systems. Anyone purchasing this product should thoroughly wash both cases before using them, as well as their hands after touching the product after unwrapping it. Overall, I am pleased with this project, and I have used all of my screws and nails. No small items will fit into another compartment once it is fully secured. All of the compartments are small but deep, so they can hold a lot of product. The stamp on the plastic is 05 with capital letters PP. When you open the case, it has a strong odor. I took both of mine outside and used a hose and dish soap to clean them.
