This DeWalt Toolbox is a fantastic piece of equipment. It was exactly what I was looking for. However, I felt compelled to leave this feedback because the state in which I received this Storage/Tool Box was absurd and unacceptable. I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to make sure potential buyers were aware of the possibility. This toolbox, which is primarily made of hardened/thick plastic, was simply stuffed into a cardboard box, bare. There's nothing else to hold it up or protect it from harm. br>br>I understand styrofoam is expensive, but no bubble wrap or tissue? It would have sufficed to use old newspapers. I was astounded and irritated at the same time! If you know how easily these boxes can break, you'll understand why I'm so upset about it. If this toolbox collided with something or was stacked incorrectly while in transit, some damage may have occurred. br>br>From my perspective, this was unprofessional; fortunately, after inspecting the box, there appears to be no damage. However, be cautious when purchasing something. br>br>I'm not making this up. br>Other than that, it's just a plain cardboard box.

The latches, in particular, have vastly improved. The new stacking latch design is also something I like. The new season has arrived. loaded 2. The use of 0 stacking latches is far more convenient. br>br>Excellent capacity, sturdy construction, and easy stackability. I don't have any complaints!.

It does an excellent job of retaining what I wanted. It's a sturdy box that also looks great. I prefer the older ToughSystem boxes because they allowed you to manually lock the two boxes on top of each other. It will automatically lock to another tough system box if you place it on top of this one. I can see how this would be ideal for some people, but it's inconvenient for me because I keep it in the back seat and stack my drill box on top of it, which means I have to reach around and fiddle with the latches where I can't see them to free them. I'm not going to take away a star because it says auto locking in the description, but it simply doesn't work for me.

I liked that I could perfectly store my battery-operated framing, 18 gauge, and narrow crown guns in them, which means I could sit them on their backsides rather than having them thrown in. I also like the weather seal because it keeps moisture out. In Minnesota winters, I leave my tools in my care, and because my beater work vehicle isn't airtight, moisture gets into the vehicle, causing condensation when it warms up. br>The only thing I don't like is that the lid has a hinge stop point so that when you open it, it stays open and doesn't fall on your fingers when you get tools out, but the hinge stopping point snaps like it's broken, and it should also hinge stop further back. It's inconvenient that the stop isn't even open 90 degrees.

Here's a carpenter who knows what he's doing. I bring my tools to work in tool boxes seven days a week. The sides of latches crack, and rain rusts tools due to faulty lid seals. With strong latches and a tough water-proof seal, this upgrade was well worth the money.

Unless there is a loud popping noise, the lid does not fully open.

This item has been designed to be extremely durable. I couldn't be more pleased. The latches are very strong. This is a long-lasting piece of furniture.
