I've had mine for a few months and am very happy with it; in terms of weight, I usually carry around 40 pounds in it. So far, the bag has proven to be quite durable. It's something I use on a daily basis at work.
No, they aren't, because this bag isn't built to last. I was astounded by the flimsy quality of this bag, which isn't very robust. I've been using the shorter model for about five years and was surprised at how different it was.
There is no way to fold the handle.
It wouldn't bulge because of the solid, rigid handle.

I work as a handyman for a living and decided to order this after reading the reviews. It's perfect for me because it holds all of my everyday tools while also allowing me to add in some specialty tools as needed. The divider is useful, and the pockets are large enough to accommodate multiple tools. There isn't a single thing I can say that isn't positive about it. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> I won't buy another one because four of the outer pockets have come apart after one year.
It lacks a hard bottom to keep the center from sagging when carried or the sides from sagging when used with a hand truck. I use a hand truck to transport my tool box because I have to walk a short distance, and when you load the tool box onto the hand truck, the sides sag, causing the ends to drag on the floor and wear out quickly, resulting in holes on both ends. Because the bottom is not stiff, the divider slides up, allowing smaller items to be mixed together. It's a lot of money for a toolbox that's poorly designed. I thought the material was of good quality, but the design was poor, so it quickly wore out.
Only the family and the handyman from the block are present. This is a fantastic bag with plenty of pockets and a bottom panel that can be adjusted. On the short side, I have sealants and goo tubes, and on the long side, I have hammers, pipe wrenches, clamps, a 14" saw, and other items that weigh between 40 and 50 pounds. I don't carry it very often, but it carries well. It occupies roughly half of the floorboard space behind the driver's seat in my ext. Everything seems to stay where I put it in the cab and it organizes the tools very well there for loading a tool belt. It's a tough bag that hasn't let me down in the past year. We're good because the dog doesn't seem to mind her space back there.
It performs as expected. This is an excellent bag. This is the second time I've bought a clc bag for work. I make a living repairing forklifts. I'm constantly transporting my tools from one customer to the next, and getting in and out of my work van on a daily basis. I load this bag onto a dolly and transport it to the truck. br>br>I have all of the typical mechanics tools, plus a few extras. The first bag I bought was an 18" clc (the one with the light on the handle), which lasted me over two years of heavy use. I'm expecting the same from this bag. My socket racks were just a tad too long for the smaller bag, so I decided to go bigger this time. This one was made for them. br>br>I like how solid the handle is, and I'm hoping it will hold up to the abuse I'll be giving it. I try to keep the weight of the bag under 50 pounds (this is a work requirement). There are a lot of pockets, and they appear to be of good size. br>It's a good investment to get this bag.
As with my other two, the "boxy bag" is well constructed and appears to be able to withstand the test of time. The outside pockets are useful, but they are a little tight, making it difficult to store larger hand tools (but not enough to detract from my rating). The center compartment is large enough to hold all of the power tools I need without making the bag feel bulky. It's nice that it includes a shoulder strap, but I don't think I'll ever use it. You won't have to worry about the handle breaking away from the mostly fabric box bag because it feels extremely strong and sturdy. br>Overall, it's a little pricey, but well worth it, and I'll continue to purchase Custom LeatherCraft bags and boxes to store my tools in the future. br>br>Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope it has been of assistance. br>Jacob.
Let's hope for the best. Overall, this is a fantastic bag, especially given the price. I bought it to replace a husky brand bag that they no longer make. This is the most similar one I could find. I have about a quarter-dozen of them. I have 30 pounds of tools in mine, and it seems to be holding up well so far. The pockets are neatly organized. The handle appears to be well-made. The only part I didn't care for was the bottom. It's just that there's no rigid support for the canvas, which was easily fixed. I just used 1/4" plywood that I cut to size and sanded smooth. I couldn't tell it didn't come that way after painting it black and squeezing it in. This bag appeals to me on a general level. I'm hoping to get a lot of use out of it over the next few years.
I do a lot of cabinet installation work, and this bag is ideal for transporting all of my small hand and power tools. I've had it for about six months, and my only complaint is that the carry strap's hooks are made of a soft metal that bent under load and now won't close completely. They still support the bag's weight, but they tend to pop loose once the bag is set down and no pressure is applied to them. I still like this bag despite the strap issue. My small pin nailer, coiled airhose, battery charger, angle drills, and impact driver can all be found in the center of the bag. Small tool pockets on one side, packs of airgun finish nails and pins on the other, loops and small pockets on the inside of the bag for carrying a few screwdrivers, chisels, and driver bits My drill bit and paddle bit cases fit perfectly in the pockets on the one end of the bags. On the other end, I keep large wall anchors and toggle bolts in a large zippered pocket. Overall, I'm happy with this bag and plan to buy another when this one wears out.
