Questions & Answers
I have two of these hanging side by side in our shop, and they serve our farm/ranch needs admirably. Even if you hit a large bump in a truck, the bins may slide a little from side to side, but I doubt they will fall or fly off. If anything, it may cause screws and bolts to fly out of the bins, but lids can be purchased to keep the items safe. Overall, I believe they would be suitable for use in a service vehicle. You shouldn't have any issues, in my opinion.
We have no control over Amazon's ordering policies when they ship from their warehouses as the manufacturer. When I tried to order for 12 myself, however, it did not allow me to. The part number for these is 30636 and they are also available in packs of four.
This panel and this bin size are the only ones that will fit, and the maximum size is 40. Each of the five rows has eight bins. I'm not sure why the seller stated that there were only 32 available.

Two of them were purchased. Individually packaged and well-made boxes arrived. The item is in excellent condition. Each panel has 12 keyhole mount holes that are arranged in a 4-by-4 pattern. 4, on 17. "br>There are 25 "br>centers in total. An additional eight (5) 5-year-olds He is arranged into 16 groups of four. For stud mounting, there are four on 32" centers. Tip for mounting - Instead of aligning the lower holes of the upper panel with the top mount holes on the lower one, overlap the lower holes of the upper panel with the top mount holes on the lower one if you're mounting two panels one on top of the other. On the lower panel, 32 4" bins can be used, while on the upper panel, 40 bins can be used.
Although one corner was bent when I opened the box, it is made of heavy-duty metal. There was nothing that a couple of linemen couldn't fix. It took about 30 minutes for me to hang both of them. There are a total of 12 bolt holes on each of them. I had to use drywall clamps that could hold up to 100 pounds each. They look great and are very sturdy (I use them to hang TVs). Because some reviews stated that it could only hold 12 people, I bought two. There are 24 in the photo, with room for a few more. It appears that I will need to purchase additional containers. br> The product is excellent, and it is an excellent purchase for any garage. In the future, I'll buy more!.
That's exactly what I needed! I found exactly what I needed. Extremely durable, with a powder-coated baked-on enamel finish and plastic bins (which I ordered separately) that are extremely sturdy and will support the weight of almost anything I can stuff in them. This is professional-grade material. It is something I strongly suggest. Oh, and someone must've figured out the packing and shipping issues because everything I ordered arrived in perfect condition and was packaged in such a way that it was protected from damage during shipment.
in addition to being heavy. I've had a lot of success with the Akro system. This hanger plate is a lot more durable than I had anticipated. I wouldn't put this in drywall myself, but they provided the necessary materials. The powder coating on 16 gauge steel appears to be long-lasting. One of the corners was slightly bent during shipping, but I was able to straighten it out with some large plyers, and the coating remained intact. br>It's so overbuilt that I'd like to see a lighter-duty option at a lower price because I think I could swing on it with a carabiner.
This is a fantastic way to make your own storage system. The final product is excellent and exactly what I had hoped for. Unfortunately, I had to deduct a star because it was damaged when it arrived. One of the corners was twisted and folded in half. I noticed this is a trend while reading reviews of this and similar products, so I'm expecting mine to arrive bent. Instead of returning the item, I simply unfolded the corner with pliers and hammered the bends flat before mounting it. The product is made of thick steel with numerous mounting holes to ensure even weight distribution.
(It's difficult to review this without mentioning the bins it's supposed to hold, so they're both mentioned here. ) br>This panel was packaged in a cardboard box and placed inside another box. For those concerned that they would receive a mangled panel as a result of other reviews, mine arrived without any bent corners, dings, or scrapes. It is unlikely to remain that way for long, given its intended use by volunteers! I got what I wanted, but because I'm going to mount it in a covered tool trailer and don't want the bins to shake loose on the road, I'll probably use hand-cut shims behind the bin hangers to keep them in place. I'll need something snug, but not so tight that the bins are damaged. Instead, I might tie a bungee cord across the face of the bins, which could help keep the bins in place while also keeping the contents contained. My 5-star rating goes to the product and its bins because they were properly advertised, were in excellent condition, and will perform admirably. It's just that I have a lot of use for it, so the rating shouldn't be affected. (With the exception of earthquakes, you will not have this problem in your workshop or crafts area. ) )br>br>After I posted this, I came across "Akro- Mils 40599 Louvered Panel Bin Retainer Clip, Pack of 6" holds bins in place and is ideal for use in a tool trailer. They're currently out of stock on Amazon, but they should be back in stock soon.
I was concerned that some of the reviews on here would result in a bent corner. The box appeared to be more than adequate for shipping the item, so unless the mail carrier drops it from a great height, it should arrive undamaged. br>br>There are no scratches or dents. I used mortar screws to attach it to my cement wall (it was pre-drilled). (Of course, drilled). I like that it's made of steel rather than plastic because I know it won't break after a few years. Overall, the cost will be similar to the low-cost versions I found on Amazon, and I am pleased with it. This is a well-made product.
I used to use sheets of pegboard to cover the entire wall space, which resulted in items being out of reach. You might be concerned that these panels aren't tall enough, but they do cover the effective area you can reach across a work bench with ease. I really like how it looks and how long it will last.
