These wrenches don't have the same level of refinement as Snap-On's. Aside from aesthetics, the function that you give up with these is the increased fastener clearance required on both the open and box ends, which is also significantly less expensive. On the box end, there's only a smidgeon of a difference; Because the open end wrench's edges aren't as square, the wrench head is thicker, and the fastener is surrounded by more steel, all of these minor differences affect the open end wrench's ability to get into tight spaces. br>On the box end, the thickness and amount of steel around the fastener are the same, but the differences aren't minor; they're quite significant. Hopefully, the visible design flaws do not extend to the ratcheting mechanism's hidden design flaws, as well as the heat treatment of those parts. If that's the case, three stars is excessive.
I decided to purchase a ratcheting combination wrench set after a long period of not having one. I chose these wrenches after reading the reviews and determining what my casual home use would be. I am very happy with the quality and durability of these wrenches. They come in a soft pouch that makes storing them in a drawer, toolbox, or on a hook a breeze. I have a lot of name-brand tools and couldn't justify spending the extra money on similar name-brand sets. These have a great look and feel to them, and they function flawlessly. I'm glad I got these for such a low price.
Ratchet wrenches have always been on my wish list. Then I came across this set for a great price and bought it in SAE. I was so taken with their feel and weight that I went out and purchased a metric set. Both sets of wrenches now hang on my garage wall and serve as my go-to tools.
In my lawn mower shop, these have performed admirably. The only thing I don't care for is the lack of a number 11 wrench. The battery bolts and a few carburetor bolts are mostly made of number 11. Aside from that, it's a good investment.
It's past time, and they appear to be well-made. They've come in handy on a couple of occasions. The roll-up case is functional, but you must remember to fold the top edge down to prevent the wrenches from sliding out. Overall, it appears to have the majority of the sizes I require. It's convenient to have some of the smaller sizes included in this set. I think the top fold should cover more of the wrenches, but hey, at least it's there.
It's just a tad too big.
I'll be using wrenches for auto and household work, as well as construction projects. We'll see how they hold up; so far, they appear to be in good shape.
Durable, good value, and I'd recommend that buyers invest in a tool bag to prevent these fine wrenches from finding a new home.
