Questions & Answers

What country does it come from?

The manufacturer of this combination wrench is China.

Why are 18mm lenses so hard to come by and so expensive?

18mm is just my opinion. They know you'll need them, especially if you have a farm tractor; 19mm was the same way decades ago. Until people realized that 3/4 in 17mm is 11/16, that is. 18mm, on the other hand, is a distinct size. The reason for this is that it is a stand-alone size without an interchanging crossover.

What country did it originate from?

The manufacturer of this combination wrench is China.

What is the open side's thickness?

The tool's measurements are 4 x 4 x 4 x 4 x 4 x 09 x 2. 36 x 0. 24 inches

This is the version from China, not the United States
4/5

version. There is no mention of this in the description. This has the traditional standard size open end jaws, rather than the oversized, weaker steel jaws that have been made in recent years and don't fit where you need them; because the jaws are/were excessively large This is the updated version with a stronger steel frame. Despite the fact that it is still made in Chain. NO - Made in the United States of America putting a stamp on the tool.

They're not the same at all! I misplaced a 10mm Craftsman wrench and, in order to keep all of my wrenches Craftsman, I ordered two more
4/5

It's because I'm a Marine that I always remember that one is none and two is one. So get two of them. The cost was acceptable because it was less than. For two people, it costs $20. Regardless of who owns Craftsman these days, their hand tools still come with a lifetime warranty, which is nice. br>br>However, my old wrenches, which I've had for a long time, are all made in the United States. It's unclear where my new 10mm wrenches were made based on the markings, but it's most likely China. These wrenches will work and, if you look closely, they resemble my old wrenches, but they are clearly not of the same quality or standard. My new 10mm, which is not made in the United States, lacks the same crisp edges and clean markings. In my hand, they feel more rounded; they don't have the same feel. br>br>I long for the days when Sears and Roebuck were still in business. Craftsman was sold off by Sears Holdings before it became Sears Holdings.

It's not as good as it once was, but it's still functional
4/5

To replace tierods in a Subaru, I needed a 19mm wrench. I didn't care where it was made at the time; I required the device. When the wrench arrived, I was taken aback by the fact that my American-born husband was the only one who could use it. My 15-year-old made Craftsman wrenches are clearly engraved better (finer details, smooth edges) and have no roughness. Because I'm not a mechanic or handyman, I don't use them very often and keep them in their original case. I'm not sure I'll need wrenches in the future, but I'm pretty sure I won't be buying any new Craftsman tools, which is a shame because I'd like to have a branded set (for OCD reasons). br>Be aware that the wrench you receive in the mail will only be the bare wrench. There is no paper wrapping, bubble wrap, or other form of protection, so be cautious if you have multiple items in your order shipping at the same time as the wrench.

Heavy
5/5

Knowing that most Craftsman tools are made overseas, I expected a thinner, lighter wrench. The weight of this wrench has me impressed. India produced the wrench I received. I'm not going to assume that just because something isn't made in America, it's junk or that it'll break the first time I use it. I haven't used it yet, but so far I'm happy with my purchase. This will be used primarily for automotive work, as with the majority of my tools. This wrench is nearly half a pound in weight. Approx. 5" long.

Purchased to replace a lost 18mm at a reasonable price
5/5

My 18mm Combination Wrench appears to have sprouted legs and wandered away one day. It was an older Craftsman Wrench made in the United States. I wanted to keep the wrench set all Craftsman because I have them lined up in a Wrench Rack and switching brands would mess up the setup. The price was reasonable, and Amazon had it delivered to my store within a few days. It saved me a trip to the big box store, which would have been a pain and a waste of my time if I had to dig through their wrench boxes.

It was a little disappointing

My old Craftsman tools were all made in the United States of America. The tool's quality is still good, but we no longer produce them.

It's causing me a lot of grief
5/5

It's great for twirling nuts and wrenching stuff. It can also be used as a nail hammer. It's a great back scratcher or a way to get someone's attention by hurling it at them. When hitting concrete floors or when the engine is started up near the fan, it makes a lot of noise. It's small enough to fit in a toolbox or a pocket.

It's causing me a lot of grief

Like older Craftsman tools, these are no longer manufactured in the United States. A typical metric craftsman's wrench. There are no extras. The only drawback is that, unlike my old craftsman tools, they are no longer manufactured in the United States. I doubt I'll ever need it, but I'm curious about the experience of trying to warranty this wrench if it breaks.
