Kit received in the wrong location A NO LOCKING FLEX policy
RATCHET FOR THE HEAD. The part# 89000 kit which is supposed to come with the part# 89042 "locking flex-eye" is missing from my GearWrench purchase This ratcheting wrench has a "head. ". In the package, I found a GearWrench part number #89000 cardboard box with a GearWrench part number 3680D kit inside. There is a difference between the two kits because GearWrench kit# 3680D comes with a static ratcheting wrench instead of a flexible locking wrench. There are a few different styles of heads. I currently paid about $35 more on Amazon for the kit I received than the kit I ordered. On the top right corner of the box is kit# 89000 printed on the cardboard. The two first pictures show what the cardboard packaging looks like. I also included a photo of the kit# 3680D that is also in the box. Third picture is just a picture of the wrench I received - not the flex-head wrench This is the head style that should come with kit number I still recommend these kits because, on the whole, I have found them to work better than any other serpentine belt tools I have used. Their long bars can be attached to wrenches to provide the operator with a good boost in leverage and flexibility, allowing them to hold pulleys at different angles to make pulling easier, particularly if they are located Serpentine kits are the stuff dreams are made of, but I am forced to leave a low rating since I didn't receive what I bought. As for the answer to your question, no, I have not received the correct kit that I paid for and ordered.

You'll be able to drive a number of cars through your lifetime! The belt on a 2001 Acura TL proved difficult to remove two times so I bought this
As a matter of fact, there is zero. Between the idler bolt and the inner wheel fender of the car body is 75 inches. It does not seem like much clearance exists. As a result of my purchase of a HF serpentine tool, it barely worked with crow's foot and only after I lifted the idler pulley slightly with a piece of lumber 1x2x14". However, the crows foot slipped off the bolt several times during that time! I'm so angry! I had to remove the power steering bracket to achieve the clearance to take a shot. But even then it was a major hassle! It was time for the idler pulley to be replaced, so I kept the belt off. The day I realized that the part I ordered from Amazon that was supposed to fit my car did not work, I had to reinstall the old pulley. Grrr! The last attempt also failed due to running out of time.
To sum it up, it is imperative to have the right tools for the right job. Using the wrong tool for the wrong job is a recipe for disaster. In addition, whereas another tool might be able to handle one particular application, this tool has almost the highest level of versatility for nearly any The warranty will last a lifetime and will pay for itself for many years to come.
It may be possible to make the handle It works well and is a great kit
The kit came with all of the accessories I needed, which I appreciate. I've used it a few times now, and it's a solid tool that should last for generations. I have one negative observation - the strap is not adjustable. There is room for improvement in the length of the handle. In order to compress the tensioner on a 2014 Jeep Wrangler, I found myself working a little harder than I should have to. As I was able to get enough leverage, I knew I was ready. Like cutting off a lug with a tire iron that is too short. Suddenly, you're leaning into it, and it gives right around the time you think, "Wow, this bad boy is really strong". The little dude in me isn't much bigger There was no requirement for it's length as 'just long enough' might make it more portable and easier to store. We are able. A perfect kit would have a rating of 5 stars, and this kit is extremely close to it. Perfectly, it's not 1, 2, or 3, If I had a choice, I would choose 5.

I like the idea, but it may be a little tedious
Despite its low cost, this serpentine belt remover tool is useful if you need a serpentine belt remover although I oppose its use in favor of single-piece belt removal tools. Adding a second piece does allow for more flexibility when working with pulleys that are hard to reach. The tool comes with 3/8, 1/2 and 3/4 attachments ( I've only used the 1/2 so I forget which ones are included) so it should be useful for many This tool has a major flaw in that the attachments tend to stick to the tensioners, which results in the bit falling off or spending a while It's likely the bits are designed and finished incorrectly, which accounts for most of the issue. By wrapping paper around the bit, I usually create enough friction so that the bit stays In summary, if you need this tool, you should consider.

These tools in this set seem nicely made and durable
The adjustable screws in this set have a cost associated with them. The flex head ratchet driver appealed to me because of its ability to adjust. As a result of the added joint between the handle and the wrench, I felt the assembly was less stable during use. As a result of the stiffness of the tension pulley, I couldn't keep the screwdriver on the nut without it flying This ratchet handle and socket are very well connected. The ratchet handle has a clip ring and the socket has a groove that keeps it in place. A clip ring appears in the extension handle, but there is no corresponding groove in the hole of the ratchet handle, so the connection between these pieces is less If you do not have the ratchet wrench, you cannot use the extension handle. In my opinion, this tool will come in handy for a number of purposes. I found a straight handle with a socket at the end to be more effective for my needs.

A new serpentine belt kit is the best
It's hard to believe that gear wrenches exist. This company provides me with many tools of the highest quality, and their products are endlessly useful. Getting this tool was convenient because of the flex on the wrench, which you can use on engines when space is tight. This kit came in a molded case that was well organized. I've seen a lot of hydraulic tensioners broken due to people rushing around with them. Check and be careful whenever you are handling a Make sure you do it right by taking your time.

Are You Really Going to Pay 70 For A This one is one that I need to think about more carefully. 29 dollars is the price of the original 3680 GearWrench. The amount is As of last year, the 89000 GearWrench was priced at The $35 fee seems to be a bit over the top to me. They made the head flexible so they could get 70 points A black metal piece holds it into place, along with a questionable metal piece. As far as mathematics is concerned. More than the actual tool, the flexible head/lockable head is what makes this tool unique. As soon as I receive the original GearWrench 3680 back, I will send this back for replacement. I'm so sorry.
