Combination wrenches aren't the only thing you'll find.
If you're only going to use them once in a while, they'll suffice. I'm a carpenter, but I occasionally have to turn nuts and bolts on the job. I put these in my equipment trailer for that reason (I didn't want to buy another expensive set like I have at home), and they've served me well thus far. You're more likely to misplace one than to break one.

These are probably ok for the price, but I only bought it for one size, and it dented in and became unusable on the first try while attempting to loosen an engine mount bracket that my socket couldn't reach; it was the last bolt I needed to remove - As a result, the vehicle will be disabled until I can obtain a higher-quality wrench.
It's all garbage. The 7/16 boxed end is out of speck and cannot grip the nut. The quality is terrible. Oh, and on the metric side, I got two 10 mm wrenches instead of one 10 and one 11 mm, so the wrench roll will last you about two weeks (maybe) before falling apart.
This is my third year working with them. I have other sets of name brand wrenches in their cases, but these are excellent for the price and convenience. I've got the entire roll up ready to go on my peg board in my garage, ready to use whenever I need it. I've used them on my cars, lawn mowers, and anything else with nuts and bolts. They've never caused me any problems.
You won't notice any difference in weight or feel between these wrenches and sets that are far more expensive if you pick one up without looking; I haven't used all of them yet, but the ones I have have fit snugly. This is advantageous because there is less chance of a nut slipping or rounding. One, on the other hand, was a little too snug. I'm not sure if it was the nut or the wrench, but it took a lot of pushing and wriggling to get it on and then a lot of pulling to get it off. Because it was a brand new nut, I believe the wrench was a little too tight. Perhaps a smidgeon too much chrome. The only reason I deducted one point from the overall score is because of this. As I use the other wrenches in the set, I'll keep you updated if I run into any issues. These are brand new, so I can't comment on their durability just yet.
I needed a set of tools to keep in my truck in case of an emergency, and these wrenches appear to be adequate for all but professional use. What struck me as odd was the lack of metric measurements. (MM: X, X, 18, 19, X, X, 22, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, Many sets ignore some metrics that are close to SAE sizes (for example, 11mm = 7/16"). Fortunately, I had a spare 16mm (roughly equivalent to a 5/8") and 17mm. The 20 and 21mm (roughly 13/16") wrenches were also missing. Overall, I believe they are a good investment.
It is made of a soft material that is not long lasting. I needed a set and figured I could save money by purchasing it online. no. . I used the 9mm specifically, and it bent, so it's no longer a 9mm. I haven't been able to remove the bolt. I drove to Home Depot solely to purchase a husky 9mm, which worked flawlessly, did not bend, and allowed me to extract a bolt. If you're using it to tighten hardened bolts, be aware that the wrenches appear to be made of a very soft material when compared to forged ones like Husky's. Aside from that, it's fine for everyday use. kit for the professionals.
I bought this set of wrenches a few months ago. Now that I've had a chance to use them, I thought I'd share my thoughts. Unlike the bulky hard case boxes that tools sometimes come in, the bag keeps the wrenches from taking up too much space. A useful feature is the variety of tool sizes. In both standard and metric wrenches, sizes range from fairly large to very small. br>br>I've used these wrenches on both my truck and other people's vehicles. For example, if a friend's car breaks down in a parking lot and I need a couple wrenches quickly without having to go get a toolbox from my house, I've used them. In a pinch, they're useful. Who would want to buy something like this? br>br>Who would want to buy something like this? Someone who won't be using them on a regular basis. This tool set is ideal for keeping in the toolbox of a truck and using in an emergency. This wrench set is also useful for someone who just wants to grab a bag of wrenches instead of walking back and forth from a toolbox.
This wrench set is fantastic simply because, if you keep the wrenches in their designated slots, you'll have a perfect mobile pack that will save you time looking for wrenches. I probably have 5 of each type of wrench for standard and metric, and my wife and kids are constantly misplacing them, so I'm always looking for the right fit for the bolt I'm working on. I keep this set complete so that I don't have to worry about not having the right size wrench on hand when I go to my barn or work on my project. The wrenches each have their own labeled compartment that they slide into and out of. There are also strings on the ouch that can be used to tie it up for easy transport or storage. It's a nice set, especially for the price, and I'm thinking about getting another just to avoid the hassle.
