In some reviews, it appears that the 1/4 rachet skips easily. If this happens to me, is it possible for it to be ?

It never gave me any trouble with the 1/4 inch, but when I got the 3/8 inch, they replaced it immediately. Tried this and never had a problem.

An excellent build, but the bulky size of the broken head may make it hard to use
4/5

As a former gearwrench owner, I have quite a few tools that are the best of their kind These tools are available to consumers (regular consumers with a tendency to buy from professionals). Unlike many other ratchet wrenches on the market, the Roto ratchet wrenches are of good quality, reasonably priced, and comfortable to use. In contrast to the 5 stars I would usually give, I only give 4 stars because after a few uses, I notice that the broken head is rather bulky. Although it is a more flexible head than the flex head, the size of the head limits maneuvering in tight spaces. There is nothing wrong with the tool itself, just a general comment about a tool of this type.

This is so cool
5/5

Ratchets were on my shopping list for a long time before I finally bought them. Did I really need another tool in the box when I already had a flex head and a straight ratchet? am always looking for more, but I don't know how to justify the need anyway. As an avid weekend warrior who usually has at least one car on the go during the weekend, I cannot speak for the use in professional applications, however I would recommend it In order to get a good grip, I usually use it as a nut driver first and then switch to a ratchet when it gets There is only one complaint I have the head is larger than an ordinary ratchet, and this can sometimes cause it not to The 1/4 drive and 3/8 drive version have both become my favorite ratchets when the model fits.

The bag is both comfortable and convenient
3/5

It's hard to tell if durability will be an issue. In the last 4 years, I've used the 3/8-inch a couple dozen times, but this past weekend, the ball detent popped out of the spring and I can't get it seated with any luck. The sockets I used were also from GW. I find this very strange. My warranty form will be filled out and hopefully I'll There is no doubt that it is useful. We will update our review once we speak with Apex Tool and GW.

One-fourth of an inch skips teeth! There are gaps in 1 1/4" and it cannot be used
3/5

See what Amazon customers have to say about the 1/4" single tool. There are many people who suffer from this issue. This is the same item as Harbor Freight, but its back release is quick. Having said that, I do also like that the Gear Wrench handles are longer than Harbor Freight, however what good is that if they jump Buying trash is a waste of money.

Despite a brand new ratchet having broken teeth, the item was When I tested them out in a sears, I was extremely impressed, however, I did not think they were worth the $60
3/5

I found them on Amazon for $30 and am very happy with them. Sadly, I just discovered that the 1/4 is partially stripped when I used it for the very first time today. The teeth on this ratchet are broken, and it is a brand new item, not a return. This is garbage. It was returned to me and I have never used The service from Amazon is always good, so at least it isn't a hassle to return the item.

This is a good product but it could be more Snap On like inside, but it would cost One thing I do repeatedly every day with the 3/8 ratchet is one specific use for it
4/5

For a ratchet of this size, the torque I put into it is pretty high It is estimated to be 22. 5 to 23. 5 feet per barrel. My company has used it every day at work for a month and has had no issues with it. Nevertheless, I am not doing this review for that reason. The following are the two things I wish to say 1 .
The difference between the individual 3/8 and the set with the 1/4 was $4, so I bought the set. While I may not have a specific need for 1/4, it would be a stupid decision not to get the set. I tell you what, ha, ha, ha. My first attempt at using the 1/4 resulted in a broken 1/4. The device slipped around for a while before letting go and not catching enough to try and tighten it. .
. The reason I can't find it now is that someone said they didn't like these ratchets as much as their old ones because they couldn't take them apart. I believe I read it somewhere, but can't find it now. The photo shows the part I took apart. I had nothing to lose and hadn't planned to try and get a replacement for my dead 1/4. It is necessary to use two picks such as the ones in the When I opened it up, I found two things that surprised me. First, when I first got the ratchets, I put ten very small drops of super light Starrett instrument oil in. Neither the oil nor its traces were visible A faint smell of grease was present, but it was hardly noticeable. Does the oil return to the tool tray after it has been in there a while? It is possible. Secondly, it seems that a few chips of dirt or black colored metal had been on the shallow ratchet teeth, which prevented the pawl from seating into the teeth with proper alignment. On the pawl, there was also a corresponding mark. One of my picks was used to dig out the debris in the teeth. There was very little but enough to cause issues. In order to put the body together again, I oiled the pawl, put crude oil on the teeth, and reassembled it. Some sort of seal to keep grit out (and lubricant in) would have been nice. Snap On regular ratchets are sealed, according to my understanding. As a heavy ratchet user, I have not had reason to take one of mine apart. I almost exclusively use nut drivers with sockets, speeders, and hinge joint "braker bars" for the type of pro work I do, except when I get to use the 3/8ths for the task I specified In any case, these ratchets can be taken apart and they're worth the effort. Having reinstalled my 1/4, I am now able to use it I have updated the following information My 15 x 15mm impact wrenches have been in daily use for more than a year now with the 3/8 drive ratchet, and they're still There is no hint of any As a whole, I am very satisfied with my Gear Wrench ratchets and other Gear Wrench tools. Did you know they actually make Gear Wrenches that are quite large? One of my regular operations has been revolutionized by my 36 mm. I can't express my gratitude enough.

i haven't tested them yet but I can tell if attached correctly they are solid ratchets
5/5

I haven't broken them yet but I can tell if used properly they are a good product. Generally, a ratchet like this is only used for tight and awkward areas, not breaking loose rusted nuts. If the job is heavy or medium duty, the breaker bar can be used, but if it is light duty, this can be used. It can even be used to drive ratchet bits straight through since it is long enough to hold straight. Gun oil should be used on the pivot and the chrome, and rubber protectant like 303 aerospace should be used The rust prevents the machine from becoming greasy and the grease prevents it from becoming tarnished. In fact, with most 3/4 applications being torqued harder, I would recommend the 3/4 flex head rather than the pivoting head. The 2 piece set is far more convenient than the 3 piece set for me.

A very high rating It has a level of quality that would set it apart from others
5/5

A gear wrench for the second time will be my purchase this year. There are no words to describe how happy I am with my purchase of two 120 XP's. I just purchased my second gear wrench, and I expect it not to be my last. These tools are excellent. The ratchet is one of those quality tools you'll love. I found it to be the best I've It looks like I just made another purchase for the four piece set. I can't wait to get them.
