I have a very hard time answering this question. The GearWrench tools used to be made in Taiwan, but are now being made in the United States. There are some products made in China as well. second thing to keep in mind is that torx tools, no matter which brand they are, are not the strongest tools and will eventually break, regardless of your brand of choice. Since I have been working in a body shop for several years, torx bits are one of the tools that I frequently use. I've used snap on, matco, Mac, craftsman, and GearWrench tools for torx bits. The positive is most Auto Parts Stores will warranty the product by simply giving you a new one if needed which is much easier than hunting down a tool guy. Likewise, I have never actually broken a GearWrench torx. They tend to twist more than break. To my mind, the torx set I reviewed is the best quality available at the best price. I hope that this review will help you decide whether or not this set is one you should consider.

A gearwrench tool is a good value, and a quality product. With this set, you'll find Torx bits in a variety of sizes that are commonly used. The T50 came into play almost immediately when I was repairing the latches on my F150 door strike.
I purchased the T20 T25 T35 and T40 about 2 months ago and have broken them (clean breaks). As a candy cane, the T30 did not break, just twisted. All those jobs, even the toughest, were completed to my satisfaction with just one set of my Husky tamper-proof torx sockets, which I purchased at Home Depot for less than half the price.
It is a great price and a great product I use them every day as a mechanic but I wish gear wrench would figure out a way to keep them from falling out of my pocket. But I would most definitely buy again if I could.
I purchased these to repair German vehicles. The ones I bought seem to be able to stand up to the Lil impact (1/4") and come in all the important sizes, as well as sizes that I have.
Thus far they have worked well for me, but I have only used them once or twice.
GearWrench in its typical form. It's a great deal for your money! While I don't use them very often, when I do, I'm glad I have a good set that fits the allen heads correctly and is powerful enough for the job at hand.
You get a set of Torx bits covering the full spectrum of what you need to work on a BMW motorcycle. I think you'll need more than what's needed.
I need to have You use them at work every day.
