Selected User Reviews For DURATECH Mini Combination Wrench Set, Midget Wrench Set, Metric & SAE, 20-Piece, 4-11mm & 5/32'' to 7/16'', Lightweight, with Rolling Pouch
This wrench set is well-made and easy to use, with a nice chrome finish and a wide range of sizes. The heads of the wrenches are excessively fat, which is my gripe. They're a lot bigger than they should be. The box side's ends are all smooth and rounded off as well. There is nothing that is severly cut. This results in a lot less precision, which makes them difficult to use in tight spaces. What are the most common uses for wrenches of this size? These things aren't going to be used for any fine, detailed work. They're far too wide. br>br>Overall, it's a useful set with sizes that are difficult to come by. I just wish the working ends were more compact and the edges were sharp and precise.
I also enjoy working with tools as a retired mechanic. So far, I've collected several different sets of mini wrenches from various manufacturers. Include the high-end Snap On Tools brand. br>br>I came across these while looking for mini wrenches. They were reasonably priced and appeared to be of good quality. So I placed an order for them. Not once did I feel let down. These wrenches are incredible. br>br> Exceptionally well stamped, ground, and polished, and housed in a lovely case. The quality is on par with my most expensive brand. However, there is one exception. In comparison to Snap On, the 4mm wrench has a slightly thicker circular socket end. As a result, it's possible that in some cases it'll be a tight squeeze. However, if that were the case, I would simply grind it thinner. br>br>If you need mini wrenches, I recommend purchasing this set. They're absolutely lovely.
These are very high-quality miniatures. Wrench set with a nice gleaming rust-resistant finish and a pleasant grip. They're 12 point until they're too small to be useful. This is a real benefit for more universal fit in less than precise hardware (nuts and bolt heads), as some people realize. If the wrenches had any flaws, the case would be the best feature, but they don't. The case "wrap" is made of high-quality material and is ideal for carrying in your pocket to keep the wrenches organized. That's a fantastic feature!.
So far, I've only used a couple of the wrenches in this kit (10mm and 4). 5mm, 5/16,)br>And it went off without a hitch. br>My only concern, which I'm sure will fade with time, is that the points on the box end of the wrench, particularly the smaller sizes, may not hold up well after repeated use. br>However, so far, I'm enjoying this set and would recommend it to others.
I repair old test equipment (spectrum analyzers), and I frequently have to disassemble small fittings on cables in difficult-to-reach places. I needed a wrench set, and this is exactly what I got. I need smaller mm and inch sizes with long thin handles so that I can reach back into the machinery. Because I haven't had them long enough to rate durability, I gave them a 4 (only). On all of the ratings, I believe it should be a perfect 5. This book comes highly recommended.
I could tighten my guitar tuners without removing the strings because these are thin enough. I only want to take the strings out when they've reached the end of their useful life; otherwise, replacing good strings would be more expensive than these tools. In addition, I have plenty of wrenches for future projects! br>I'm happy with what I bought!.
I didn't read the product description closely enough, and it clearly states "mini. " Because I only need one, I was looking for a low-cost set of open-end wrenches. Once a year, twice a year, and once a year, two times These will probably suffice for my needs, but they won't give me much leverage if the bolt is really tight.
I use these to repair and modify 3D printers, and they're fantastic - The chrome finish is nice, and the fit is good. I especially like the pouch that comes with it. In addition, the price is very reasonable.
