Questions & Answers

Are these pickets and screws supposed to be used for ?

Not at all. This gun is designed to staple a field fence, barb wire, and non-metallic wire, among other things There is about an eighth-inch of thickness to barb wire of 9 gauge. A thin gauge staple will be required for picket fences, perhaps an 18 gauge staple. The thin pickets would most certainly be split with these 9 gauge staples.

Do you have a stapler that is compatible with the ST400?

The answer is yes, according to me. Upon reading the User Manual, I found out that it is compatible with generic 9 gauge fasteners that are 1 inch long. The following 5 days are free It is "0".

Does this stapler use a specific kind of staple or what size staples does it ?

With the Fencing Nailer PFSP you can use fence staples ranging from 9 gauge to 1 gauge. The length should be between 1/2 inch and 2 inch. If you need Freeman FS9G175, you can use it. With this gun, you can use any generic 9 gauge collated staples.

The PFS9 is a Freeman Pneumatics 9 gauge fencing stapler
5/5

My research on a pneumatic stapler that will be used for cattle fencing led me to see that some brands cost around $800. I thought it was too good to be true that the Freeman stapler I found on Amazon was $359 with Upon reading other helpful comments below the questions and answers, I learned that I would need to locate stockADE '9 gauge' staples. These don't seem to be available on Amazon. In addition to the advice from those guys, I purchased a box of 1200 staples from McArthur Lumber in Ohio to test my new tool out. staples were competitively priced, however it took eight days for them to arrive in Texas, and being heavy, the package had been well knocked about by the time it reached me. The company helped me apply for tax-exempt status as a primary producer in Texas, and I have been delighted to be able to receive staples the next day after ordering them one day earlier. Prices are competitive and this is a viable alternative for those living in the southern states to lengthy long distance shipping processes. You can find staples by clicking the following link Southwest Agriculture Supplies. Products at com/products/stock This is appropriate Item no. ST-400 The pneumatic system The gauge measures In a fence- The staples This class is 3I am quite satisfied with the product and I have been using the staples that I have bought. So far, I have not had a single jam or The pasture fencing in my yard is getting old, just like I am. As far as I know, I don't have any location information In conjunction with It would be all too expensive to replace them, and honestly, they are mostly structurally sound but only worn out. As a native of New Zealand and someone who spent about three decades in Australia, I looked at the fencing system used there, and decided to apply it to the fences I built As the wires between my posts are connected by batons, or stays as they're called in this part of the world, I am attaching them to them. To make them, I have to cut 2" x 6" treated pine, roll them along the fence, then glue them on. You can attach the batons where needed with a line. There is a gas-powered grill on my roof There are five or six barbed wire fences, so there is a ratio of five or six staples per baton on my old trailer that I brought from Australia. It also has a retractable air hose that gives me a good distance before I move the trailer forward. Over 2 000 staples have been sent out by the staple gun thus far, completely without issue. The day after every time I use it, I apply pneumatic tool oil to A retail store provided some to me, but the bottle comes with no cap that can be clipped onto it once opened, so it leaks all over the place once opened. It took a little while for me to figure out how to use the gun and get the technique right. Push the nose of the wire against the baton hard enough so that it ends up pushing down against the wire against the baton. Fire needs to be able to return back to the bridge before it can fire. A barb in the way can hinder that process. There will be no staples fired in the last couple of seconds, so if you haven't noticed that the clip is empty already, you can be pushing the nose up against the post and wondering why it won't fire. With a full clip and the fact that I have to rest it on its side (horizontal), it tends to make your arms and hands tired after a while. But after slowly working my way up to the task, I found I could keep at it for a long All in all, I are able to highly recommend this staple gun (at this point). I plan on installing about 1000 batons (that's more than 5000 staples) over the next couple of months before it gets too hot, and if there are any issues, I'll update it. This date represents the last day of the month. As promised, I am updating this post. I am absolutely delighted with this Freeman staple gun as it has run thousands of staples for me. It had two problems. The first was that the mechanism on the nose that automatically sprung back so it could be reloaded stopped working at some point. The reason for it was not clear to me and I had no time to send the gun off for repairs, so I fashioned a spring that sits unobtrusively on the side attached to a tiny screw on the front of the magazine slide. It works perfectly now. There was a second problem, which involved a staple jam where one of the staples seemed to have come out backward. The way this happened is completely unknown to me. In any case, I was so relieved to see that it was not bent when I gently tapped the bolt back into place (which pushes the staple out). With that being accomplished, I had to snip the staple with some bolt cutters in half and pull it out in two pieces to extract it. It was only natural that I should stop working and return to my workshop in order to clear the traffic As long as this Freeman gun continues to exist, there are no other incidents that make people concerned. I highly recommend this book!.

Buy locally so you can return them if they fail in less than a year! I have failed two guns in less than a year
3/5

Our company specializes in horse fences, so as a Red Brand Certified Installer we recently decided to buy a stapler instead of hand swinging every staple by hand. In that case, the Freeman stood out because some Stockade styles were discontinuing. By July it was dead and we bought a second one after buying many staple boxes to finish the job. Within a month of purchasing, the first gun developed problems, we changed some seals, and by August the gun was dead again. As with the first one, both have a dead end after only 5 minor repairs have been completed within 6 months. Then comes the question of how to proceed with returning a faulty tool to Amazon. It's fine. You don't need it. From this month on, I'll be terminating my Prime account and shopping locally for all of my purchases. Prime is the only reason I kept my account only because I got my staples at a good price and I got free shipping. In terms of a company, it's not worth the hassle.

Once you learn its peculiarities, it is a great tool to use
4/5

As part of a neighbor project, I helped to repair some fencing and build a new chicken yard. It is best to use galvanized staples over regular staples. Those of you who have ever hammered them would know the use of a pneumatic tool is better. Once you learn its peculiarities, it is a great tool to use. To begin with, make sure you use quality air tool oil out of the box. This unit has a pressure sensing feature, so it works just fine at 90 PSI, but has problems at 80 PSI. A third problem is that the latch to refill the magazine isn't machined to tolerances that will provide you with The photo may fool you, but it's not true. A large nailer of this kind is probably the largest tool on the market. A side handle makes sense in this tool. I call it an overpowered framing nailer. This is a very small 2-inch grade normally found in contractors Despite the air that it consumes, a 5 gallon compressor will do the job. For a compressor to function properly, it must maintain the right A remote system for using my GATOR to fence is what I am after. The CO2 solution will be the first step.

You can save so much time with this! The fence installer's tool is great, especially if you need to put up a lot of fencing! You can save time and thumbs this way
4/5

It's crucial you figure out your pressure setting, as over 80 psi will blow out the back or go through the fence wire if your staple gun is set too high. Watch the staple feed as well. To ensure the staples remain tight, keep them lubricated and bump them every few staples. Although I and my husband don't have a lot of experience with horse fencing, we can staple up 220' of 48" mesh horse fence without help in about 45 minutes.

This product offers excellent value
4/5

This product meets its advertised specifications. You can buy staples of the Freeman brand. Amazon advertises the generic one as a reload product at least one out of every four times. In my opinion, it's better to purchase the OEM staples because the price difference is marginal. Five drops are all that are needed). A 4 is the one I use. It's a portable 3 gallon compact compressor which runs smoothly at 5 CFM. If it is used for production work (i. e. The only items I am placing are 4 The staple gun can staple up to five posts per minute, and the compressor keeps up.

This will come in handy if you have a lot of wire fence to string! My frustration was mounting as I looked at the prospect of stringing thousands of feet of four-foot horse fence and nailing 500 fence staples
5/5

The nailer has been a real hit with me! The very idea of such a thing is completely foreign to me. You will be amazed at its effectiveness! There is no competition to it since it can take out 2" fence staples all day long. I did not experience any jamming while using it. A hammer would have been whacking at my fingers for hours without end. It was well worth the money!.

The tool is a great value for the price even though it is a heavy duty system made of 9 gauge steel
5/5

small, lightweight, easy to maneuver, as well as a simple diaphragm air compressor and tank by Campbell. No matter what the pressure of the air, it never caused trouble. In the end, we built a fence using just 5 X 16 hog wire panels, a task which would have taken at least two days with a hammer and heavy With the PFS9, you will spend three hours. A total of 175 feet of fence remains to be built, including two new fences.

The labour savor is excellent and the value is great
5/5

It's a horse fence I'm going to easily put up by myself, so I bought this for that purpose. Despite my high expectations, it has exceeded them. I like that it doesn't require a lot of fuss, works well and can quickly put in a staple and doesn't It is fine to use an electric air compressor of three HP or a gas air compressor of nine HP. In the case that you are doing your own fencing and have a lot of fencing, this is a good solution. You might not be able to save money if the area under fence is less than 100 acres, apart from age or The latter two concerns would certainly be a concern for me if I were to buy.
