I am not sure how many ounces this is It must have taken up about 25% of the space It will take the most time in the initial application to cover the surface, and the touch ups at the end won't use much time. A leather strop is first-rate, and I've been able to polish my hand plane blades to a nice shine with the leather strop.

Just want to share my experience with this company. Having been disappointed with the strop that I ordered, I wrote a review in which I articulated how the strop and polishing compound turned out to be inferior. It wasn't a bad day or a bad pan I even said if I used it for a while, my feelings would change. Several days later, I was contacted by customer service, who apologized for my experience and said I would be receiving a replacement strop shortly. This is amazing! The goal I had wasn't to bring about such a surprise and I certainly did not expect it. I was wowed once again by BeaverCraft with the upgraded version of the strop when the replacement arrived this morning. Service that goes beyond what is expected is what we are witnessing here. Wow! The strop works fine and I still have half of the compound in it. It has been around for almost a year and I use it almost every day. The thing you have to glue to must be A piece of wormy chestnut is what I gorilla glue mine to. By trimming the 90 degree edge off, I have eliminated the sharp corner.
The leather strop is of a good size. Rather than mount it to a branch of pine I had lying around, I decided to mount it to the pine as a result of improved control. A few minutes with this strop transformed my already slightly sharp Rapala 4" fish fillet knife and a couple of my 5 inch knives into razor sharp edges. The Morakniv blade is available in both carbon and stainless steel. As I tested along the way, each was eventually able to slice through a piece of computer paper without a problem. While I do have a few strops of smaller widths, this size seems to be the best for almost all of my blades.
It is a good investment for those who are starting out. Using this product, I was able to sharpen my plane iron and chisel.
