This punch works surprisingly well and its soft bass makes it easy to remove and drive metal items you don't want to damage, like nails and screw heads. A little while ago, I straightened a bearing race that was going in crooked with the 1/4" punch. In my opinion, this product did not perform as well as I had expected as the 3/4in punch did not prove to be My abuse of this 3/4-inch punch caused it to mushroom and chip on both ends. Perhaps a 4lb steel hammer wasn't the best choice it may have been better to hit it with a brass hammer or a soft faced hammer instead. They are great. They do not take a beating, which is their major drawback, but they still deliver some great power.
