Questions & Answers

What is the maximum size they will ?

11/16 of an inch is 7/16 of an inch, so they open to 7/16 of an inch. The diameter of the paper is 1125 millimeters

Are they made in the United States?

The jaw does not close precisely, and there is no tension in the jaw In the case of the pivot rivet punch, eliminate Germany and the USA. In addition to these, Japan, Scandinavia, and Taiwan also deserve a mention. Typically, they are Chinese, Indians, or Pakistanis. I find them useful for my purposes, and they are good springs. My jaws were closed and my pattern filed with Swiss pattern file, and I polished them on a 1050 rev/speed wheel with 600 Go slow with the polishing wheel because the jaws look as if they have been heat treated and tempered. A good grip is essential. Considering the price, it was a good deal. It would have been nice to have precision hand tools, but I could not find any other options. Has Travers Tool been tried by you?

Would you be able to give me the measurement of the "clamping" portion only? I would appreciate any help! ?

Approximately one inch total length is measured by the clamp.

Do these have a smooth or grippy surface?

There is no sharpness to the jaws here.

Replacing the jaws did not come with pliers, but with plastic replacement jaws
3/5

As a result of my order, I received two sets of nylon replacement jaws that I ordered the wire cutters.

It shouldn't be used for anything heavier than very light work It is not suitable for use as a hand vice
3/5

They are only intended to be used by jewelers. The best pliers are those that are graded. It was for setting up a steel press that I bought these. You cannot scar an alodine finish any further by using a PEM nut in a tight corner of aluminum. It did not work as expected the jaws bent backward and are no longer parallel after the first application. I'd like to draw your attention to An examination of the black-and-white photograph A semi-oxide jaw is revealed by these jaws For that rivet hinge point, there is a circular cutout milled out of the inaccessible part of each of them. There are two types of rivets here flat and round Despite the fact that it did not need to be made all the way through, it was, as it added a perfect stress point that could bend the jaw back if enough force was applied. All I did was use my hands to produce this force.

The good news is that they can be quite They are the workhorses of a machine toolmaker friend of mine, and they are quite handy
5/5

They do not show that the jaws are about 5/16" wide, neither do they show how much they open. As long as they are still in the "V" shape, normal pliers close on an object. They are arranged parallel to each other The handle of the wrench can be squeezed open for any size when the handle is squeezed. Gunsmithing and musical instrument repair applications come to mind immediately when I think about these, but I can see all sorts of uses for them.

This item is essential
5/5

I don't know what I would do I found them to be really useful and high quality. This is flat- Some jobs call for flat-nosed pliers, but sometimes they aren't right for the task because they aren't flat all the way down the nose and wire can slip when coiling or doing other similar work. When the need arises for a longer, firmly-anchored chain, these provide just the perfect solution Having a flat surface is important.

Excellent value for the price
4/5

It's ideal for holding tiny parts for grinding or other work where you need a tough gripping surface. Because the faces are not all parallel, I have only given it 4 stars, but it is still good enough as of now.

There was no mention of that in the advertisement
3/5

There is a pretty clear description of pliers in the advertisement. The pliers are plentiful in these photos. But all I got was a little plastic cover for my It is unlikely that I will place another order with this company.

These parallel pliers are a great buy for anyone who needs them
5/5

It does what it says on the tin. I haven't used them yet, but they are quite good. The size may be a bit small for my hands, but I am confident that I will be able to adjust.
