I used to use anywhere between 3 and 20 cards before I made this purchase With the help of 9 different tools, I was able to complete the build, and now all I really need is one more tool to help cut the material. Despite my high hopes, I am not finding this as useful as I expected. When you're shaping the models, the shaping pieces are quite short, which makes them difficult to handle and apply pressure to while shaping. It is problematic to bend long edges It appears that the gap at the bottom of the tool is much smaller than the gap at the ends, and, from my experience, it is even narrower than the thickness of an average piece of model, which means you are highly likely to scratch it when you insert and remove the tool It is especially true if you have painted models. Scratches will show and ruin the image of the Even though the tab twister is handy, it isn't worth buying the whole set of tools just for it, you might as well get a pair of micro/mini pliers or a good pair of tweezers instead.

When the 5 tools on the holder were all that was offered, I bought this item some time ago. It is very convenient to roll and form the Metal Earth projects with them. There are two additional tools included in the set and they enhance the ease of assembly of this model. This tool allows you to bend and twist the tabs that hold these models during assembly, and I enjoy using it. With these extra tools instead of needlenose pliers, it is easier to repair the damaged threads.

By the time I finished my second Metal Earth model, I realized there was no point in using whatever I had around the house. The last two models I have produced have benefitted from what they have provided. Small round parts are really easy to bend with these. Many times, I have found myself needing the square bar. It is quite common for me to use the long tapered bar. It is easier to twist and bend the tabs in tight areas with the rounded slots on the end.

Currently, I have 46 Metal Earth models (I assure you I don't have a problem). This set took me until model #40 before I decided to buy it. When making these models, it opens up a whole new world. You may wish to get this set if you plan on doing a lot of this kind of modeling. You probably won't notice any difference if you only do a few Metal Earths.
