I have wave plus, so I'm a big guy. It can hold the bit extension as well as the bit kit. Because the strip is smaller than the right size, I put the bit extension in there so that the big end goes down and it doesn't fall out. I have a smaller flashlight for the other size.
It has a loop on both sides that is elastic. It also has enough space to transport the two tray pieces. It's a tad tight, but it'll do. The micro screwdriver found on a Leatherman Wave gets tangled up due to its length. I used to have two Velcro Leatherman pouches, but this one is my favorite. Because of the elastic loops and enough room for the two tray bits, I chose this over the leather pouch. It's always with me when I leave the house. Even with a full tool box, I use it dozens of times per day as a field service engineer. It's just more convenient to have it on your hip when you're in a tight spot.
There is no separate section for bits. It has two elastic sleeves on both sides, which could be used to store two items.
Brushed nickel is used a lot more.

It's a bit of a squeeze, but it's well worth it. I'm glad I went ahead and added the fourth. To my carry-on, I have a 5" sheath. the entire collection My Fenix flashlight fits perfectly in it as well.
Leatherman sheaths have gotten a lot better. Leatherman multitools, in my opinion, have always had some of the best fit and finish of any multitool (example: Leatherman multitools). Victorinox is a Swiss knife manufacturer. Their sheaths, on the other hand, have always been a letdown. While this sheath is still a letdown, it is a significant improvement over the others I've owned. The new fastner is fantastic. It appears to hold my bit extender in place, but we'll have to wait and see how long the nylon lasts. It will hold one of the bit kit's two halves, but not both. (Which appears to be an absurd oversight. ).
I spoke with Leatherman before placing my order, and they confirmed that this is the right one. So I placed an order for it. It arrived today, and I loaded it with the Wave and the Bit Kit. It was a tight fit, and getting the Bit Kit in was difficult. When I tried to close it, it came up short, so I contacted Leatherman again, who advised me to try the Large. So I'm going to try returning this and replacing it with the large. Hopefully, this will save someone else the pain I'm experiencing.
This is the best holster for my leatherman wave with bit kit that I've found so far. I can fit both the strips of bits and the leatherman in without having to cram everything in. I've tried a variety of holsters, including the niteeyez, old Velcro Leatherman holsters, and even the size of this holster that Leatherman recommends for the wave, which is one size larger than they recommend, but it works so well with the bit kits in it that I'm not sure why they don't recommend it.
I discovered that the original Surge sheath did not meet all of my needs. With two bit kit holders and side pockets that held a mini-computer, it was ideal for my Wave. Bit extender, Bic lighter, and LED Lenser P3 (one AAA flashlight). I bought replacements after losing the sheath and contents and decided to give it a shot. br>At first, I planned to buy two, one for each of my multi-level marketing campaigns. I was hesitant due to my previous experience with the Surge sheath. I was unable to fit the 4 into the space available. 5" multi- kit of tools and bits The Leatherman XL Molle sheath, on the other hand, does, though the hook and loop closure bothers me. br>I've removed the yellow on black tag and replaced it with a Wave, complete bit kit, bit extender, and MicroStream in the attached photos. br>After reading other reviews, I think I'll try fitting my Surge with the accessories and stretching the sheath a little more.
As a result, you're forced to abandon half of your bit set. At the very least, Leatherman should create a sheath that can accommodate a multi-tool. Also, making the sides out of elastic fabric is a questionable design decision. I have the leather version of this sheath, which has similar sides, and after a couple of years of use, the elastic is completely stretched out. This indicates that the tools are no longer securely held in place. This sheath isn't up to the task of carrying high-end tools.
First and foremost, these reviews were extremely helpful in determining which size to purchase prior to purchasing this item. The Leatherman rebar is in my possession. My bit adapter kit occupies the small space behind my tool, essentially taking up the same amount of space as a single bit kit (warning: a full bit kit will not fit in this space). The next item is a 1AAA gearlight flashlight, which fits perfectly in the side sleeve. On the other hand, I have a small pen that fits perfectly; because I don't have a wave or surge, I don't need the bit extender, so the pen is ideal for storage. Another thing I learned from a review was that rebar owners can store two AAA batteries in the sheath's bottom compartment, which is brilliant. I can't comment on the quality because I've only had it for a few days, but it appears to be a good design and a good value. According to what I've heard, anyone with the bit kit should use the large sheath. In this size, you can only fit about half of the kit, but it's a good product; we'll see how it holds up over time. Follow up with: br>br> At work, I've been wearing this sheath all of the time. It's been subjected to a lot of abuse. The belt loop has held up admirably, and the snap closure system has become so loosened that it constantly comes undone.
Both my multi-tool and my multi-tool sheath are kept safe in the sheath. tool set and toolbox This 4 has been recommended to me. For my 4-inch sheath, I went with a 5" sheath rather than a 4" sheath. Because I hid the small accessory screwdriver head kit behind the Leatherman Wave multi-tool, it's an inch Leatherman Wave. Inside the sheath is a tool. That was exactly right, according to the person who recommended it, a reviewer I read on Amazon. It's a tight fit, especially with the tool kit in the sheath, and I'm confident that the 4-inch blade will fit. I wouldn't have been able to use a one-inch sheath. I'm very pleased with this sheath, and it's well-made. The product is well-made and functional.
