Other brands can save you a few dollars, and folding tools all do the same job, but I prefer Malco because (a) the gray finish isn't easily chipped, and (b) I'm willing to pay a little more to support Made in the USA. You can "step along" a flange with a shorter folding tool, but getting a wave-free flange is much more time consuming and difficult. They're cheap enough to have multiple sizes to cover various flange lengths, and you can even combine tools for longer flanges.

For bending small pieces, this is an excellent tool. 3/8 and 1 inch bends work well with this sturdy.

Standing seam metal roofing with a bowed drip edge. After about 30 pieces, it slipped, the spot welds gave way, and the jaws spread. If you do a lot of roofing, go for the higher-priced product. Maybe for ductwork that isn't too heavy, but not for roofs.
