Questions & Answers

What size of Old Hickory 7" Butcher Knife will this sheath fit?

This knife is huge check out the specs of the 7" Marine Corps knife to see if it's the same

What does this look like on How long is the Bowie knife from Bar 1276?

Despite my unfamiliarity with the 1276, I am curious about it. In my opinion, if the 1277 is any indication, then the Ka-32 should be able to do it The leather sheath from a bar 7" wouldn't be appropriate for the 1276. It is too different in terms of blade configuration.

The product you're describing has the logo of the US Marine Corps? As you can see in the picture, it is plain, but in the description it is branded with ?

Neither the leather sheath nor any part of the knife carries a logo.

What does this look like on the BK ?

It is difficult for me to say It works with both the butcher knife with a 7 inch blade and the K The BK5 may not be able to handle the length.

The 7" blade of the BK will not fit Bought it in memory of my mother This bar has a BK sign I tried a Knife no
3/5

7 (7" blade), but it didn't This section contains references to the A 7" bladed knife cannot fit in this sheath, despite the fact that it was advertised as fitting knives of that size. The overall finish of the sheath didn't impress me. Despite not fitting my knife, it did not have a satisfactory fit. A leather worker who is unfamiliar with basic finishing, I was disappointed in this sheath's lack of it. There was an unfinished look to the edges The stitching was obviously done by machine and rivets were rusted, indicating an impossibly lengthy process by hand. The edge burnishing wouldn't take more than five minutes. It would be too complicated to return as it would be too much trouble Due to Amazon counting on this, they were still able to make a profit from the In conclusion, if you are looking for a leather sheath to carry your BK- , it is not the best selection. Keeping looking is the 7th step. Spend your money elsewhere. Don't waste it on this. My plan is to take it apart so I can modify it for another.

A quality sheath that is suitable for kabar knives, old hickory 7" butcher knives, and CutCo no
5/5

22 butcher knives. I bought this for an old hickory butcher knife I'm getting, but for now it's being used with an 8" CutCo knife. The little bit sticking out is my fault for using an 8" knife in a sheath intended for a 7". When it arrives, I'm sure it's going to be just right for my old hickory. blades of the knives have the exact same profile, the CutCo is just an inch longer, so as you can see from the image below, less than one inch of the blade sticks out, so the old hickory knife will be a Considering that it costs so little, the quality of the sheath is exemplary. Because I ran out of veg tan leather, the cost to make my own (not including the tools) would be more than the cost of the sheath I purchased. The fact that I purchased it last night (Saturday) and received it less than 12 hours later on a Sunday is especially encouraging. Yes, there would be leftover leather to produce plenty of other items, but I would be forced to pay much more up front and wait for it. Do I have the ability to do better on my own? Yes, of course. Do I believe I could do better myself for less money and in less time? Absolutely not. There is no chance of that. On its own, adhering the layers together alone would require longer curing time.

It is a great sheath to protect Knife Sheath for Kabar 1217 USMC Knife
5/5

This is my second sheath (to be used with my Kabar 1217 USMC Knife). The first thing I did was darken the leather. We are still working on it (still in the process). ( so far ) the results of the darkening have been very pleasing. As well as neatsfoot, I got great mileage out of it. Doesn't seem to work to my liking (to my liking), and I don't have a lot of patience either After it dried for a little while, I used some mink oil on it (I figured if it could darken my Red Wing Iron Rangers, then it might do the same for my sheath (I did the same treatment with the USMC sheath). I like the way the process is going. As time passes, I will treat again. I'll let it rest a while and will do so again. The photos are in this post. It was really important for me to own this sheath for two reasons 1 - For collection reasons, I want to keep the sheath from the USMC ( it will be cared for). The terms
2
3 In the future, I will use this knife as my primary tool Knives are good to carry (when walking dogs every day in the woods you never know what lurks), and for camping, etc. You can also insert other items such as etc. Fortunately, I'm not going to be so protective of this sheath just like I would be paranoid about messing up the USMC sheath. Do you get what I'm saying? A plus- My husband and I are huge fans of " Sons of Anarchy ", and noticed that the main character ( Jax ), has exactly the same knife ( Kabar 1217 ), but does not have the USMC leather sheath. That's all there is to it. It is highly recommended for anyone who wants to preserve his or her USMC sheath.

I found the material to be much better than expected
5/5

It is attractive, durable, and carefully constructed. Thank you so much for the Amazon reviews on this product! This product reviews is very informative, detailed, and helped me to pick the right product for me. There were two of these that I bought -- I needed one to replace the sheath on a Bowie knife my father gave to me in the 1970s There is also one as a replacement for the sheath that came with a Ka-23 The washer handle and the 7" blade) I bought several In other reviews, others expressed their appreciation for the quality of leather and workmanship of these sheaths - especially considering the price. During my research, I realized that this was absolutely correct. There is nothing wrong with this product it is made from thick, pliable, attractive leather and it is tight-stitched, cleanly cut, and of good quality. Having a third layer of leather to protect the stitching from the sharp edges of my knives is also appreciated (very much). Located directly on top of the original sheath and attached to the knife there There are no differences in the dimensions of the bar All the way down to where the handle is located and its length- There was no consistency in the material, size, or appearance of those snaps. In other words, if it's a dot This bar knife is perfectly suited to its new sheath. A clean, attractive, and businesslike (as opposed to a busy) end result is created. I chose the Ka, because the blade profile of my dad's old Bowie is similar to the Ka I found that the blade fit perfectly into the second sheath I am extremely happy with the Reviewers, thanks for taking the time to do this!.

This leather sheath is a nice match for a 7 1/2 "Kp I bought this leather sheath for my bar knife at a great price
5/5

The handle keeper snap strip was a little tight at first, but it stretched right out after applying neatsfoot oil, snapping it over the handle, and slowly pushing the handle up It's fine now. The leather is fine. You can tell it's not top quality, but its probably better than you should get at that price point. *r> The length of the sheath is actually right for the 7" spear blade. There are bars. The lanyard hole in the bottom of the tube means it has to be a little longer than it needs to be, and therefore the tube is longer than needed. It has a blade that hits just at the top of the hole, so it is the perfect This is much more attractive to me than the weird blocky plastic sheath I received with my knife There are bars.
