Usually in order to use it, the opening had to be very large. Couldn't be used easily. In the end, I decided to purchase a companion surform in a size that fit better. I really like this one, and I think it will work well. As a result, I think it will be more maneuverable since it has a shorter shoe. I can also use it for other things besides just drywall, as it has standard refills, like the larger one. They work really well with rigid foam materials, as well as wood with a soft density. It is a reasonable price and good quality - As far as I can tell, Craftsman still offers quality tools.

As the board was gnarled up, I had to be careful to remove all of the paper around the edges, otherwise the board would stick out too far and then I would have to use A LOT more plaster to finish it.

I used it to install drywall. I couldn't believe how much easier the job was with a new rasper, once I figured out how to secure the blade. The material fits well in my hands and I can use it without getting snagged. A drywall hammer is a crucial tool to have when you're installing drywall, regardless of how big or small your job is.

The product does not work for me on hardwood floors

There is a hardwood project I want to sand down. You can basically do nothing with it. There is a lack of sharpness in the blades, which dig in too It was disappointing to be greatly disappointed despite my high expectations. Depending on what type of wood you use, this device may work better.
