On this page, there are two models for sale. One cutter head is included in the less expensive model. The one that costs more has seven cutter heads. br>Getting the extra cutter heads is well worth the extra $10 (ish).
Paint is what it is. If you don't polish it with sandpaper before using it, it will come off on the boards the first few times you use it.
It has a better consistency.
If you have a router, you won't need this, but if the wood is soft, it'll be a breeze to work with. All types of wood can be routed with a router.

There are no major design flaws in what appears to be a fine little tool. It's relatively simple to change blades. The depth adjustment and lock work well, and the guide rail is extremely useful. Slight rusting on the cutting blades right out of the box, which isn't a big deal but is an annoyance because it could have been avoided with a little oil before packaging. The painted cutting surface of the chamfer valley is the most significant disadvantage. It's best if the surface is polished. The paint clings to the work piece, creating unnecessary resistance. The tool skips across the surface as a result of this. Furthermore, the paint transfers to the work piece, which can be a real pain if you use the tool on a nearly finished project right out of the box. I'll fix this problem by stripping the painted surface and polishing it. This should, however, be done in the factory rather than leaving it up to the customer to modify the tool to make it usable.
Sturdy. However, changing the cutting heads should be done with caution. The tool's weight and rigidity appeal to me. When it comes to putting an edge on a board, I can put a lot of force behind it. br>The bevel guide is the main reason I chose this one over others. It's difficult to keep the tool in the correct alignment without it. When each board face is only 1/2 inch thick, it's easy to get a little wobble. br>A wide range of cutting heads is available. I usually prefer a 45-degree chamfer, but there are some nice roundover and ogee heads on this. There are two issues:br>1) The bevels that face the board should be polished metal rather than painted. So I could use the tool, I had to spend a lot of time getting the paint off (otherwise it would come off on the boards I was working on). br>2) The tool should have a built-in adjustment knob. or at the very least, make it clear that when I remove a cutting head, I need to keep an eye out for the knob and a washer (I'm hoping it was just one). If there were two, one of them would have bounced under something in the shop and been lost) to fall out!.
The sole of a wood plane should be bare steel if you're buying one. There's a very important reason for this, which the tool's creators obliviously and selfishly overlooked. China is the source of this product. They probably painted over the oring seals in the booster rockets, similar to the longmarch5. The solution to preventing rust is not to dip paint everything; at least, the blades were not painted, but they are rusty. If I had seen this at Harbour Freight, I would have waited until it was under $10 before purchasing it.
Because our house is a fixer upper, we've been doing a lot of woodwork. We can add a beveled edge to shelves and trim work quickly and easily with this planer tool. It's easy to hold and takes up little space. I usually use the 45-degree head, but it also comes with a few other options.
All of the cutters are extremely dull, with some even having burrs on them. The depth adjustment is terrible; sometimes you turn it half a turn and nothing happens, and other times you bump it and it takes off a quarter of a turn. I bought it because of the quick delivery, and I was in a hurry, and now I'm fishing behind.
This was used to give the edges of wood plaques a more finished appearance. It shattered some of the pieces, rendering them useless. In addition, almost every pass required tightening the screw that holds the blade in place.
This is an excellent edge plane. The extended piece on one side of the plane provides additional stability, making it simple to use. It's very adaptable thanks to the extra bits.
Except for one, all of the blades have been lost. It appeared to have been opened and re-opened as well. sealed. If it was supposed to come with instructions, there were none in this box.
