Questions & Answers
The RALI Monobloc series has less expensive steel soles than the Professional Evolution series, which has a heavy laminated sole that provides the plane with the stability and inertia required for perfect planing. The 260L has changed its name to the 260 Evolution.
The blades for the 260L, now 260EVO, and the 105EVO are the same 48mm wide as the 220EVO. The G03L, B30N, and G30N all use 30mm wide blades.
The lateral screws are flush with the sides and countersunk, allowing the plane to be used with a guide.

I really like it. Very easy to control and smooth. She shaves less. than- shavings as thin as paper I like how easy it is to get on and off. the- adjustment of the flies I'm finding that I'm not using my Stanley as much as I used to.
I've had the smaller version for decades and am very happy with it. This one did not fall short of my expectations. The quality, feel, and cut are all excellent. I would certainly recommend it to others and purchase it again.
None of them can match the simplicity and utility of this tool. It starts working right away. Shavings that are as light and feathery as they come. I've never measured the thickness of shavings with a micrometer, but let me put it this way: They allow me to read the newspaper! (Of course, I'm referring to maple shavings. ) ) I prefer this version to the 220, which has horn-shaped totes. It appears to have a lower center of gravity, but I suppose that's just a matter of taste. This aircraft is tough and unbreakable. fussy. Really. It's so simple to set up and use that you can get right to work with little or no sharpening or tuning time. What if you were to fall to the ground? It's not an issue. It isn't bothered in the least. It's impossible to praise this plane highly enough.
I despise sharpening blades, and when none of my planes are sharp or adjusted the way I want them, I usually turn to this one, which works. I own and use high-end name-brand planes, but this one gets a lot more respect and use than the rest of them because it's always ready and simple to adjust; it's my tough and always ready tool! This is the one if you want a long-term user who is easy to work with. I'm so glad I got it!.
This is an unusually designed and well-performing Swiss woodworking plane. The advertisement photo of a red cover on the hollow aft handle, which holds spare blades, piqued my interest. The red cover seemed to me to add a needed splash of color to an otherwise unappealing plane. Unfortunately, the product that was sent to me included a blade storage cover that was black in color. Contact with the SAMVAS SA parent company yielded only a terse statement that their handle covers were now exclusively black. Aside from looks, this plane performs similarly to a dozen other planes I use. I'll save it and never believe another RALI product advertisement again. A COMMENT HAS BEEN ADDED: A red plastic cover for the aft handle, cum blade storage chamber was recently sent to me by the Rali Company, much to my surprise. Current shipments are likely to continue to arrive with the black cover that I received, but you might inquire. The red cover is courtesy of Rali Company. It's charming, and it adds a splash of color that's much appreciated.
