BUYING IS A MISTAKE. This device is a sham that does not function. The instructions included with it are for a bench plane, which it is not. Plane of the block Metal is so thin that it bends in an instant. It's a rip-off of a product.
Do not make a purchase. It's all nonsense. You will not receive the item depicted in the picture. They will send you something completely different, with pieces missing.
It arrived quickly, but this item is a complete waste of money. It took me ten minutes to make this, and it shows. It's a lot bigger than I anticipated, and it's definitely not a precision tool. To get it to work halfway decently, I had to tweak it a bit.
It was as uninteresting as it could be. Even if it were sharp, the iron sits too far back in the mouth to allow shavings to pass through easily. The plane and iron are such different widths that when the lever cap is tightened, the iron does not sit square, which is hilarious. br>Overall, I think it'll be fine for PDF after I sharpen the iron, but you'd probably Mar any hardwood. br>br>NEW ADDITIONAL INFORMATION- br>I tried for an hour with 400 grit to flatten this iron. Gave up. I got it as close to the bevel as I could by hand, then put it in a honing guide and spent another hour on it. It still won't shave pine, and it's only good for bevels; otherwise, it's just a paperweight. BUYING IS A MISTAKE.
Due to settling in a 90-year-old home, I needed to shave some wood off the top of a bedroom door that was wonky. It did the job, albeit with difficulty, because the plane kept falling apart, but it performed admirably when I was able to keep it together. You might want to upgrade and spend a little more.
I put the wood plane to use as soon as it arrived. To achieve good results, they must be fine-tuned, just like most wood-cutting blades in planes. Right out of the box, the blade was razor sharp. Sharpening the blade to a better cutting point is always an option. Thank you very much. In the future, I hope to purchase more items from you.
This worked wonders on a door that had been stuck open and shut for years. It was sturdy, easy to plane, and it worked! This is fantastic, and you won't need a large planer to complete the task.
I own a power planner and a sander, but I couldn't get close enough to them to use them. I was sanding the front of the door frame, which had gone all the way up to the vinyl ceiling. My power tools would have ruined the ceiling if I had used them. This resulted in a three-fold reduction in the amount of time it took to It's simple to apply four layers of paint. br>I was blown away!.
