Score and Snap is great half of the time, but I use this Rasp Plane the other half! It's fantastic for straightening drywall edges and leveling out uneven surfaces. It's also great for adjusting 1 to 2 foot lengths when the angle is slightly off. It's great for chamfering long edges where walls meet a vaulted ceiling, and it's about a 1/2 inch thick. For that, I use a drywall knife to rough up the angle and then use a Rasp Plane to smooth it out. It happens quickly. br>It also happens quickly and with little effort; if you're working on vaulted ceilings, patching, or detail work, this is a must-have tool.
If you're looking for a cheap Chinese rasp tool, you can get one for less money somewhere else. Light metal, most likely potmetal, was used to make this. It won't last long if you use it frequently. The blade itself is quite good. The moveable handle is one of my favorite features. I returned it because I didn't like the quality.
The blade's teeth do not reach the blade's edges. The blade has a good edge to it. Cutting along a surface is fine, but cutting straight down is impossible. I'm trying to cut a radius against a shoulder but can't get it to work. Stanley blades have teeth that extend all the way to the edge.
It works wonders on bondo right before it hardens.
There are no issues at this location.
Excellent file for bodywork at a reasonable price.
Very good.
It's very thin and won't cut well.
