Any hammer would have done, but this is a good hammer for those purposes. This hammer was chosen because it is made by Apex tool company, a company I was sure made their tools in the United States. This hammer was described as being from the United States in its product description. That's not the case! The labels on the products stated that they were made in China. It takes a good hammer to do the job It is a bad piece of An industrial tool maker might go overseas to exploit slave labor for profit, but it seems far more disturbing to use tricks to convince me to support.
Having served the community for over 40 years as a general contractor. The straight claw hammers made by Plumb have always had great balance. Several of the newer products have been lowered in price. There is an improvement in the finish work of this hammer, but it is not as good as it used Has a good sense of.
If you don't have a nail gun, this provides a fast and simple way to build that backyard shed or frame your basement walls.

Many years have gone by since I last used a Plumb hammer. I was dissapointed to discover that it is made in China, even though the product seems to be of the same quality as my previous purchases.
