Mexico created the files that I received. Despite this, the quality was still quite good. They've been in my possession for several years, and I've put them through their paces in a machine shop.

They appear to be the real deal, with the appearance and feel of nicholson files. They have the usual nicholson logo embossed on them, which is similar to older believed-to-be-nicholson logos. If you want to be nicholson, you need to be nicholson. If it makes a difference, they're also stamped with'made in Mexico. ' br>br>They are not 7" as the title suggests, but 10" (with the exception of the small taper file, which is 7"). All but the squre, half round, and flat finish files are double cut, while the rest are single cut. The round file is advertised as double cut, but it appears to be single spirals of abbreviated/periodic cuts. br>br>The plastic pouch is quite substantial and should last the average hobbyist or home user for quite some time. It's embossed to look and feel like canvas, and mine was green rather than the red shown. I believe it will hold up well for what I do, but it is unlikely to be used on a regular basis - However, if you use them on a regular basis, you're unlikely to want to go to the trouble of putting them back in the pouch after each use. br>br>Until now, I've only used them for very minor tasks - There will be no heavy equipment, such as mower blades or welding work. If they start to deteriorate quickly, I'll make the necessary changes. br>br>Assuming that these files don't get dull easily, they're exactly what you'd expect.
Excellent value for money.
Although these tools are not made in the United States, they appear to be of high quality. Used several times and found to be effective at cutting and shaping steel of various levels. from soft to medium-hard tool steel.
They appear to be of good quality, but I have yet to use them, and all of my other Nicholson files refer to the United States of America rather than Mexico.
good.
