I have found the Park Tool Cable cutters to be well made and comfortable to hold. However, when it comes to performance, they have been much different. A few times I cut stainless control cable with the cutter one afternoon and found that it wouldn't cut without leaving several strands twisted and uncut. It would not cut cleanly and I had to use the cutter I had purchased. With this tool, the cutters were tightened, the pivot was lubricated, and I still wasn't able to make a clean cut. I was so frustrated and disgusted that I just threw the Park Tool Cutters in the garbage and did not bother returning the inferior offshore products Do not buy the inferior Chinese made Park Tools, spend the extra cash on Swiss quality Felco cutters, you won't be disappointed and will have a tool that performs without issues.
