Since most battery cable wire is less than 1/0 AWG, these will cut up to 2/0 AWG copper wire, so yes, they should be able to cut a battery cable.
Good to meet you, Here you have some of the finest cable cutters money can buy, and they are made to some pretty exact It would not be worth it to me to Because it is an aircraft wing deicer, it is not suitable to use as a Grab a bottle of The 3 in 1 Oil additionally made by WD A light machine oil like this will serve the purpose well. Try it both on the left and right sides of the center hinge, and open and close the blades several times to work it in. You will eventually be able to open them easier as you use the cutter. I am glad to hear that you made a good purchase with your purchase. This is Mike.
You cannot easily do it. The way to get through it is to take a number of small cuts. You can cut one cable at a time if you have just one to cut. If there are several cables to cut then you should not do this.

The only way I could give this work 5 stars was to give it 4 stars. In previous versions of these shears, the cutting blades were ground with a cross hatch grind, which resulted in a very Klein made the decision to cut costs by switching from a cross hatch to a single grind at some point. Seeing a company like Klein cutting costs is a little sad, so I'm a little sad to see the listing photos still featuring the pliers with the cross hatch.
The cutters were ready right out of the package, so I started cutting up lengths of 0 seconds A gauge and a 2 Copper stranded wire, gauge zero, during the second 0- lead After I tried to slip the cable through the pliers, the pliers resisted significantly, so I opened the jaws, rotated the cable to try There is nothing. In the process, the tips of the cutters deflected enough that they "folded" over one another! I cut precisely six times or eight minutes on the first set of Kleins. Thanks to Amazon, I received a pair of flawless pants to test out - they were swapped for me kindly. Later on, I cut about 40 pieces.
A large cable cannot easily be cut with this tool. As of this writing, copper can be made up to 2 oz soft. For our boat, I needed it to cut cables for an installation of multiple batteries. Taking each cut would have taken a long time and made the wire a mess. My hands would also have been strained when I did it for a long time. Purchased a large wire cutter that can cut in one swipe. Excellent tools from this manufacturer. Klein is one of my favorites, but these don't work the way they claim.
This Ronald McDonald happy meal must have come from a long line, but after waiting almost two weeks, I was the furthest thing from happy. Ienno The Internet is not an authorized dealer of Klein Tools. They are not made by Klein, nor are they made by anyone else who felt worthy enough to put their name on the packaging and the tool itself. It would have been easier to just go to Home Depot and I will do so.
My reason for buying Journeyman was more than half because each review picture had Journeyman in the corner. The machine I used did not have these, so someone who does electricity would think I was an expert. I have used these to test 1 foot samples up to 10 gage wire on the shiny thin red handles. They look appealing as well as working well. There is a difference in comfort between these and the thinner ones. Since I have already buffed the metal, I'll keep these I'm unlikely to use them, but I'll test them on 1 foot samples first.
Using it for the second time, it turns out to be easy to handle and cuts smoothly. You don't even need a strong hand to operate these cutters. The problem with them, is that once they're in your hand, they start working. Now that he has touched it, the other guy wants one as well. Nice Klein, thanks. (Update he has one now) Thank you so much.
In my local Tru Value, I found this exact item on the shelf. Priced at almost $35, this was quite a bargain! I'm so sorry. At harbor freight you can find cheaper copies of these, but they are copies of this one. Choosing to buy these from Amazon proved to be the right choice to me. As if 2 gauge was butter, they blew right through. A very nice tool with an excellent balance and finish!.
My husband and I used this item to build a solar power system on our fifth Cutting the wire becomes increasingly difficult as the wire gets thicker, with the cutters working well in the advertised ranges. In fact, I have used these cutters dozens of times since and would not hesitate to purchase them If these do not go missing, I will not need to replace them at all. As far as I can tell, these are going to last longer than.
