My pair is the best pair you'll find and I use them every day they are the best pair I've ever had
Do you know how much opening there is when the door is locked? It is assumed that there will be a full thread length in the handle screw adjustment section when it is in the maximum locked position You may fail to get a full purchase with the tool if you adjust past it. If it were me, I'd use a tool that tiny on any material that wide. The answer is 1 1/8" in the locked position at the tip of the jaws - that's about the size of a loaf of bread. It is important to note that the jaws would not be parallel, and that the lower point of the jaw spread would be smaller at 7/8 inches.
Irwin 5WR's place of origin is the United States There is one country that is not in the list
Behind the jaws that grip for securing wires, you'll find the jaws that cut it. The wire is only about 3/8" long and can only be cut with a small blade (#10 gauge or less). It is best to use a quality pair of electrical pliers when cutting only copper (copper wires), as it will last a lifetime when used right (you should never cut stainless steel Vice Grip from Irwin is no longer an excellent product. Instead, it is a clumsy, heavy, and not quite usable

This is a cheap tool that looks and functions like a Chinese one. The reason is because Each revolution of the tension screw results in the tension screw hanging up. An incorrect alignment of the jaws is present. There is a lot of casting going on. It is rough to the touch. This includes the product name stamped on the packaging. I do not like the brand of the company. This is the last new vice grip I will purchase. We should all be saddened by the fact that used tools are so much more valuable than brand new ones.
), I use these tools. As in the past, I have been impressed with the quality of the Irwin tools, and so seems to be the case with this tool. The vise grips are very easy to open and close, and they keep their shape. It has serrated teeth on the jaws which make it easy to grip. I like how compact it is, and how easy it is I would appreciate it if you would mark this review as It's been great to work with you!.
I've had them since the early '80s. There is no difference between them, which I am pleased to report. This is just way newer than the others. Despite making some things more cheaply than they were years ago, some things don't cost much less now than they did then. It doesn't make sense to me why this specific model (5WR) is almost twice as expensive as two very similar models.
There should be a bigger version of this. After receiving it, I found it to be too small. I don't think a small camera can hold the needs of general use. Although it is strong and well made, it is not light. As a general rule, this is the lesson Online purchases should be considered to be safe, but be aware of the size of what you are purchasing. Sometimes the images are misleading unless you have a reference point. For example, My computer mouse caused the same issue to me once again when I bought it. There were too many limitations to be used at all so I stopped using it.
The original tool is made in the United States. Featuring built-in solid wire cutters, a curved jaw for easy holding and big or small jobs to tackle, I am very pleased with the product. It was a pleasure working with you.
As a general rule, the name brands perform better than the knock offs in my experience.
There's no way to go wrong with these small ones. They work perfectly for The price should be reasonable.
Locally made Petersen vise grips have been a part of my life since I was a child. Despite the purchase by Irwin, Petersen seems to offer the same high quality as it used to. A portion of the manufacturing is returning to Nebraska from China, I understand.
