China only makes tools that I will buy when I have no other options. There still seem to be a few channels made here, like proto and channel lock. The crescent wrench I wanted is 15 inches long. The fact that they are made in China is shocking to me. The Proto I bought is a prototype.

It's a shame that Crescent has done this! The market is expecting you to be among the vanguard tool companies, but you're just being cheap by picking less expensive options from overseas. They have been used twice so far, and the needles seem to be in good condition The nose pliers have an easy-to-use mechanism to shift them When they come off the axis, they will fall right off of the object (in my case, I am using the drum brake tension spring). A piece of red plastic on the locking lever split and embarked on a journey of its own to walk down the other set of small "parrot" clips These pliers are similar to The two locks I already had in my toolkit had rough lock engagements, as did the cheap ones. This set of locking pliers was something I bought because locking pliers are usually one of those last-ditch tools you use when things start to go bad. When things aren't looking good at that moment, you need quality gear that will get the job done before things worsen. There will be no gear like that in these pliers. These are just more cheap junk.
These are some of the better locking pliers available that are not the premium (quality and priced) brands like Grip-Tite. You may want to try Knipex or On. I put them somewhere between the US made Peterson Vise-Grips and the ones they now import from China. In my opinion, they are very, very close to the original Vise-Grip brand in terms of quality. A similar feel as well as a similar locking release mechanism is found in the thickness and feel dimension. In my ranking, I am going by the hardness of the jaws. There are few differences between these and the China Vise-Grips, but they are nowhere near as good as the Nebraska ones. The prices for these were a little less than the import Vise-Grip brand, so they were a decent deal.
When I bought this set of cheap tools to fill out a spare box, boy was I surprised at the quality. It's easy to explain how the jaws don't line up straight when under pressure, so they do not clamp down tightly. As an example, curved jaw sets will not accommodate curved nose sets, although needle nose sets will. Bindings occur in the tension screws and chips occur in the jaws. You may be able to use these tools to grab on to large rounded or frozen parts, as long as you can set the tool up at a 90° angle to allow you to grab on to them. Well you might as well buy something better if you have to remove a broken stud from a space where there is just enough room to get your tool in.
We are so disappointed. As I thought the 5 piece set would be of quality, I purchased it. From the packaging of the package, the long needle nose jaws did not line up well and after one use on the first day, are now not much more than paperweights. While I got the whole set, all I needed was this one tool to install the sway bar links. It was a very disappointing product and I requested the seller replace the needle nose locking pliers with a replacement. Be sure to check back later.
i received them yesterday, opened package, and quality seems poor when compared to US made crescent tools that I already own from years ago when they were actually made in the Despite being much lighter metal, these feel cheap because of their light weight and cheap feel. It feels weak to clamp them even when you squeeze them. It is better to save your money rather than buying them.
Invest in what you need instead of wasting.
It's too early to test these pliers' ability to withstand rough handling, but I have no doubt they'll do fine. As a rule, I would not review a simple item with so many reviews, but I decided to do so in this case because of their unique Allen wrench socket, something I'd never It is possible for me to open them once I have set the knurled knob to where it will really clamp down hard. I may need to use another pair of pliers to back off on the adjustment knob. There is no need for special tools for these, as an Allen wrench is all you need. I like that!.
Some others state that they are good, but they aren't as good as the ones made in the USA that are no longer available. I am very pleased with how well this set has been assembled. You really won't need anything else for the vast majority of.
