I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. This was exactly what I needed, and it's well-made for the price; I'm sure I'll find other applications for it. Because the throat was deep enough, a 1" x 2" piece of wood was used to spread the securing distance, which was crucial.
The ends of the swivels had come undone. For the price, it's only acceptable; it's only suitable for light-duty use. Edge banding, for example, necessitates heavy-duty clamping. One of these clamps was all I needed to hold a broken corner of a granite counter top in place while epoxy glue dried. The clamping swivels on the end of each screw are not well made, according to my observations. One of those swivels was missing from my clamp, and another was loose enough to fall off the swivel's end. It was only with difficulty that I was able to make it work.
These clamps are of excellent quality and a fantastic price. These are primarily for applying edge banding to plywood that I make myself. I'll be ordering more of these clamps in the near future.
It holds the edges in place. Clamp does exactly what it's supposed to do. It holds the edges in place. What else is there to say about it? It will do what you need it to do as long as the edge is smaller than the clamp's mouth.
Neither of them perform exceptionally well. made or exceptionally precise, but given the price, it's acceptable.
Overall, the product is of good quality. Any kitchen cabinets would be far too small. Even the low-cost varieties.
These clamps are used to hold trim boards in place for counter edging, and for the price, they did exactly what I needed. They couldn't have done it without them, as they kept everything at the proper height and tension while the glue dried.
I had a 2 x 6 board that had split back from the end on one side, and I used this clamp and some gorilla glue to repair it and keep it from getting any worse. It was excellent at what it was supposed to be doing.
