Plumbing and irrigation projects have been carried out with these. I was very happy with how they worked. Many of my competitors will cut corners and use tools in ways they are not intended to be used. On the contrary, I just buy the right tools for the job at hand. It has always been the case that Irwin has been a quality brand. I'll pay the extra $5-$10 It would be nice if they would charge $10 for their products.

If the motorcycle oil filter had been stuck on, the thing might as well have been welded. A strap wrench, two different oil filter wrenches, and a set of oil filter ratchets did not work. The thing not only took it off within the small area I had to work in, but turned it into butter when it crushed it. It is a bit pricey for a once a year tool, but I expect it will be the only filter wrench I will ever need.

My 1999 Ford F350 required a new fan, I put this around the bracket while installing the new fan. It worked perfectly. I found it a bit awkward to latch the chain onto the wrench, but I'm not a pumpkinheaded dum dum, so I guess that's what it is. In any case, I did find it frustrating when tying it up in such a tight space.
