I had the original Irwin Heavy Duty Clamps, which were much older. These fit, but had to be ground and shaped to make them fit - The original pads appear to be unavailable (after a thorough search) - I didn't like having to reshape the pad support on the extended portion of the pad to fit the clamp, but once I did, they worked just as well as new - My clamps have been with me for about ten years, and I use them on a daily basis - The original pads have only recently begun to fail - As a result, I'm relieved to have discovered these substitutes - However, if the original pads had been available, I would have given this a five-star rating.
These pads appear to be extremely long-lasting. I'm not sure if it's great. My clamps didn't fit with these pads. I was able to use them after cutting them down with my table saw. If you're still not sure, I'd say these are the wrong pads if you have what I consider to be six-inch clamps. I think you'll need the sl300 pads. These are the next things I'm going to try. This was my mistake; they were not the ones I needed; however, after some alterations, they appear to be durable; I hope this information is useful to someone.
Do precisely what is required of them. Much better than having to buy new clamps when your old ones are lost or damaged. The .
Work with my XL DeWalt clamp, with a small change to the bottom plastic piece. The pad fit perfectly the rest of the time.
I couldn't use it because it didn't fit my clamps.
Exactly what I needed.
However, it would be useful to know. The new plastic "stabilizers" looked nothing like the old ones. It was simple to make the switch after keeping the old ones. However, knowing they aren't the same as they were a year ago is comforting.
It's a perfect fit and performs admirably.
